A shorter version of How We Can Save America [1]
We now know that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Rice, Powell, Wolfowitz and others LIED to America in order to start a war. We know that Bush remained on vacation the month before 9/11, and again during the Katrina Disaster. We know that thousands of Americans are dead due to the Lies and "incompetence" of the Bush Administration.
And now we know that Bush is openly disregarding the Constitution, spying on political enemies [2]. This is EXACTLY why Nixon resigned. Yet our current Congress is content let this slide, they're even going to re-write the laws to make this UnConstitutional Act "legal".
This is not acceptable.
All of those elected officials swore to Uphold and Defend the Constitution. They have collectively failed, whether due to bribes, blackmail, incompetence, collusion, etc we know not, but we know that they have FAILED to Defend the Constitution- period.
What are we supposed to do, just keep watching while they turn America into Orwell's nightmare? Wait for Hillary in 2008? lol.
Solution:
435 Patriots to run for Congress.
Regular citizens that are mad as hell, and aren't going to take it anymore.
Here are the myths that WE need to dispell:
- That Bush and Co. are honest Republicans.
- That Democrats in DC are worth voting for.
- That it takes millions of dollars to win a Congressional Race.
The top two are self-evident, but they are the issues that we'll need to prove to the American people.
#3 is what I wish to prove to you.
I an positive that most of America is FED UP with this BUllSHit Government. What evidence do I have? These polls [3] that have 87% voting to impeach, 98% believe that Congress is not working for US.
We know that 50% of America doesn't even vote. We know that Bush didn't really win in 2000, then after Enron, 9/11, obscene tax cuts, lying to start a war... supposedly he had much more support in 2004. Huh? Everyone knows Republicans that have bailed on Bush... are there any Democrats that have switched to Bush Believers? Hardly. Basic logic illustrates that there is no way Bush has the support of the majority of America.
Yet the Democrats in DC refuse to do anything to hold Bush accountable. They are the LOYAL opposition.
It is imperative that we Take Back America this year- there will be no fair election in 2008. BushCo is already responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans (911, Iraq, Katrina) - how many more will die if we don't stop them? Will the next attack be a nuke, or bio-terror? We must stop them- before more die.

We The People need to run for Congress. There is still time to get REAL Americans to run in nearly all 435 districts.
Here is how WE can TAKE BACK AMERICA.
The issues at stake are universal across America. Each candidate does not need to re-invent the wheel in their district, instead we can have a nationwide network of Real Americans that create and share materials for the benefit of all. EX: A volunteer in NH makes a video: Bush knowingly broke the law on wiretaps. Should this only be used by the NH candidate? Of course not- if we had this network of 435 Patriots, this video could be posted on all 435 candidate websites. We need to share our resources. Imagine the 80,000 fired up people at Democratic Underground... if we had this network of 435 Patriots- there would be 80,000 volunteers ready to make flyers, burn cds, etc...
The myth is that it takes a million dollars to win a congressional race. If we had this network I'm proposing, I believe we can take the truth to the American people and literally SWEEP the HOUSE this fall. There is still time... but it's running out.
Here is how we will win. There are a dozen basic issues that nearly every American supports, these are the issues that the phony politicians refuse to address. For example, who is PROFITing from the "war on drugs"? Organized crime, weapons makers, and the prison-industrial complex. A young woman wrote [4] that she working for 55 cents an hour in a California prison... this is clearly a disgusting equation- more prisoners equals more profit.
We can expose this scam. We don't need career politicians in DC, we need honest Americans that care more about People than Profits. That care about Upholding the Constitution.
I'm talking about that Republican Cowboy that called the Ed Schultz show, he didn't sound like any kind of politician, but he was on the money when he said ~ "this is not about Republicans or Democrats, it's about their sworn oath to uphold the Constitution." This cowboy would probably say, "I'm no politician, I couldn't run for office..." but he ought to. We can't just sit idly by while these posers in DC continue to destroy America.
I propose we form an Online Constitutional Convention. The Framers met in Philly 1776 to draft the Declaration of Independence. We can use modern technology to achieve the same result. We can draft our basic platform that all Americans would support. ie. Make war unprofitable... war will be the last resort for our nation, and if we must, then there will be a 120% tax on all war business. If the corporations will lose money in a war, there will be a lot less motivation to start one. How about an anti-fraud provision, if a company "overcharges" the gov't $1 Billion, they must pay it back plus lose their rights to gov't contracts for 5 years. Who wouldn't support that?
We can build our universal Platform online, spreading the msg as we go. Can 435 unknowns really do something? It'd be nice to have a few big names... but even without I believe we can do it. Of course there will be naysayers, but don't listen to them.
Seriously, I'm looking for 434 people just like myself, I'll run for Alaska's seat to replace Bush yes-man Don Young. I'm looking for 434 people that will quit their jobs, that will ask their friends and family to stop watching tv, boycott movies and entertainment for the next 8.5 months- to dedicate their lives to saving America. Imagine 435 Patriots, with 4 friends/family each... that'd be 2000 Patriots working to spread the message. Could we 2000 send our message to every blog in the blogosphere? Could we get alternative news coverage? Yes. Could we force the mainstream press to cover us? Yes.
The premise of my argument is that the American People are not stupid, merely uniformed. They have not been given a real choice in years. EVERYONE knows 'the system' is f*@%ed, but nobody knows what to do about it. Well here is the answer- run for Congress.
I want YOU to consider running for Congress... but, without millions of dollars for tv advertising, how would I get my message out there? Via the web, via Volunteers taking the message to the people. I'm betting that there are thousands of Americans that are willing to actively participate in electing You and me and 433 other Patriots to Save America.
In fact, no TV dollars can be one of our issues, because we will fight for Free Air Time for candidates... if elected, we would completely remove money from politics, by returning the Public Airwaves to be used in the Public Interest.
All candidates would need a website, do we all need to start from scratch... or would it be more effective to build a "base site", a starter site for all candidates.
I just spent two weeks goofing with this site, because I'd like to give it to you. I was thinking of the Republican Cowboy on Ed Schultz.. I want him to run, but he probably wouldn't know where to start... so what if we have the "Online Constitutional Convention" and build our platform, sort of like a collaborative book, where we can document the evidence against the current gov't, and our plans to Return America to a gov't Of, By and For The People.
This database could then be copied for every candidate in every district... change a few pictures, colors, and/or theme and you could have a completely different looking website, but still with all the facts and resources you'll need. Your website could be run by your husband, wife, or your 17 year old kid. Once it's up, it's very easy to add content- ANYBODY can do it (just make sure your webhost does a db backup regularly).

Of course you're going to say, sure this sounds good, but who is this guy "Ben Frank"? He's just some unknown blogger, what chance do we have? All I have is my word, and my work over the last few years [5], to prove to you that I am a True Patriot, concerned only with saving Our Country, for the children.
I ask you to consider this idea, logically, is it a good idea? Should we try to take back America, or should we just continue to let the phony politicians destroy America?

Send this to everyone on your email list- is there someone in your town willing to quit their job for 8 months to Save America? If we win, they'll earn $160,000/yr for the next two years. Is that worth a shot? I would like to encourage other "unemployed" Americans such as myself to run. Perhaps those of us without full-time jobs are actually more in-the-know than the employed, yet "too busy" Americans.
Actions:
1. Find the filing requirements [6] and deadline for your state [7]. Some states require thousands of signatures, others just a few dozen.
I would encourage all 435 Patriots to run as a Democrat or a Republican- whichever primary you have a better shot at winning. Running Green or independent is just playing into their divide and conquer strategy. But if the Primary deadline is passed (Texas, Ohio, & Indiana) then by all means, consider running independent.
2. File for office in your state, register [8] here and begin building The Platform, the Issues, the Evidence pages.
4. Find email addresses for other patriots that ought to run, then write your own- email Campaign [10] "Please Run for Congress" Letter
5. There are already some Patriots running, help connect us. Please let them know about this idea, would they like to join this team of 435 Patriots to Take Back America? Of course some of them may be phony Dems or Repubs like we already have in DC, that's why we need to ask all 435 to sign off on a basic 10pt platform, to be sure we're on the same page and to weed out the DLC stooges.

I know I'm just one lone voice, but what if we got Paul Craig Roberts, Jim Hightower, Ed Schultz, Alex Jones, Mark Crispin Miller, Howard Zinn, Gore Vidal and other Famous Patriots on board. It's not about Repubs and Dems, it's about Truth vs Lies. It's about Regular Americans vs Establishment Stooges.

We'll build The Platform together on this website, documenting the evidence against this corrupt gov't... then you can download the database, and upload it to your own website (i'll help), change a few colors and pics and have your own site with unique look complete with all the info you need to get started. (Once setup, anyone can add content, ie your teenager could be your webmaster... and you'll have Patriots across America making flyers, videos, etc for you to add to the site. : -)
