Activist Groups Unite! Stop being divided and conquered

Divide and Conquer is their goal.

Attack in all directions at once is their method.

There are so many issues to fight for these days, there are millions of pissed off Americans fighting the system, but we will never affect change unless we unite to fight the head of the Beast.

Are you concerned about the Navy's use of sonar and how it affects whales?

Or is there a new commericial pig farm coming to your neighborhood?

Or are you fighting GM Foods, Aspartame, the war in Iraq, recruiters in the high schools, domestic spying, corruption in congress, clean air, eminent domain land grabs, New Orleans evictions, coal mining, methyl bromide, nitrates in the water, global warming, torture, toxic food supply, lying oil execs making sick profits, WTO, NAFTA, Free Trade, the "Patriot" Act, the new Gestapo, the corporate media, and on and on and on.

I guarantee you that 99.9% of the people fighting all of these issues would also like to see America return to a country governed "of, by, and for The People".

But we'll never get there if we remain divided.

I ask you to stop fighting your issue- whether its recruiters or the war or the no child left behind act- STOP fighting the small things, and UNITE to take out the BEAST - which is the ENTIRE US Gov't in DC. I am not a traitor, the elected "Representatives" that no longer represent we the people, those cowards that have failed in their sworn duty to uphold and defend the Constitution - they are the traitors.

I ask Americans to unite behind the 435 Patriots that are going to Sweep the House this fall.

Would you trade in a night at the movies if it would end the war? What if everyone took just two hours to pass this idea on to everyone and anyone they know, and they took two hours to do the same.

Of course we all know "the system" is screwed beyond repair- it is our duty, to our children, to act- to do something to stop this madness before more die.

Please consider that those of us that have been reading and watching the news 24/7 - those of us really paying attention- are the most concerned.

BushCo Lied to start a war. What else have they lied about? 9/11, Katrina, and so much more. What will the "next attack" or "natural disaster" bring?

IMHO, this is America's last chance.... 2008 is too late. End the madness now- before more die.

I have felt for a long time

I have felt for a long time that it is unacceptable for those who have betrayed our nation's trust to continue running this country without fear of being held accountable for their malfeasance. I live in the 10th district of Georgia; Nathan Deal, a Bush regime sychopant, continues to run unopposed in our district. Each time I go to the election booth, I have no one to vote for. Maybe this is one reason Mr. Deal is so unresponsive to my concerns. When I asked him if he would be returning dirty money he received from questionable sources, I received no response. When I wrote to him asking him to condemn Tom Delay's corruption, I received a letter stating Mr. Deal is "proud of how Tom is handling his situation". When I requested a meeting with his staff to voice my concerns over U.S. sanctioned torture of prisoners, I was given an appointment, but when I arrived for the meeting, the office was closed. These are but three examples of the insufferable arrogance of Mr. Deal, which I believe is indicative of the egotistical and smug Republican Congress. They have shown they have no respect for the American people or the rule of law. We must oppose these corrupt officials who have abandoned their commitment to defend the Constitution and instead act as stooges and enforcers for the ever-growing fascist Bush regime. I believe we should run someone to stand up for the people in every race. Even if a candidate does not win, it will make the incumbent accountable for his or her actions and put them on notice that they are indeed answerable to the will of their constituents. Otherwise, our inaction allows this blatant abuse of power to continue.

Great story, but sad that

Great story, but sad that this is what our Congress has devolved to. It's not just Mr. Deal, a whole lot of them are like that.

Mr. Deal is still unopposed, I was going to suggest you run... but then i looked and saw the GA filing fee is $4863. If only there were some kind and benevolent millionaire, someone that would volunteer to cover the filing fees of all Citizen Candidates...

or if we could get other progressive sites to consider the idea of using our collective power to back regular Americans in a bid to take back Congress... why is this idea treated like the plague by many big name 'progressive' sites?

A ray of hope, however

A ray of hope, however tiny....

you can skip the filing fee if you file a "pauper's affidavit" proving how poor you are...

sounds great, but there's a a petition too )-;
0.25% of eligible voters... that'd be 2,500 if GA had a million voters, and my guess is 4-8 million.... or 10-20,000 sigs... bummer. Maybe Public Enemy could do a free concert on a street corner in Atlanta, you'd get all the sigs you need (-;

Yo Chuck D- "Come on!" ... ya gotta listen to PE to know how he says it.

Isn't it odd that when one

Isn't it odd that when one speaks of wanting the government to be the way it was intended to be, a democracy, "of, FOR, and BY the PEOPLE", one is called 'traitor' and 'anti-American"? The present administration has betrayed the people, they were elected to represent. There is no one representing me. Baby Boomers dutifully paid there Social Security taxes. The people to administer use of taxes 'borrow' the funds. Now the gov will go broke to make the estimated payouts. So let's change the law, and 'screw you'. Sad.
