Imagine: The USA Provides clean water for the World

The current gov't, along with 24/7 tv propaganda, has convinced many Americans that we are actually a kind and benevolent nation, helping those most in need. All Americans wish that were true, we are united in that aspiration, it's just that some Americans still believe the DC Politicians of both parties, even when they're lying through their teeth.

Dean Kamen, the inventor of the no motor, no battery scooter, the Segue, has invented something else, a water purifier.

"Eighty percent of all the diseases you could name would be wiped out if you just gave people clean water," says Kamen. "The water purifier makes 1,000 liters of clean water a day, and we don't care what goes into it. And the power generator makes a kilowatt off of anything that burns." ...even cow dung.

Now he's got someone trying to raise $30 million startup cash to start producing these two washing machine sized appliances, one each per african village and we could dramtically transform their lives. Imagine if the US Gov't had spent just a fraction of the $300 Billion it's spent on the Iraq War- all that money went to weapons makers, oil companies and Halliburton. Imagine if Congress had investigated the $2.3 TRillion the Pentagon had lost... what could we have done with that money?

Face it America, our country is not the great benefactor the politicans would have you believe. Martin Luther King Jr. was right when he said he had to address, "the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today, my own government."
