Ray McGovern & Cindy Sheehan to lead March on the White House
World Can’t Wait just announced their next major protest- October. Anyone else think that’s a little funny?
Last year the Downing Street Memo came out on May 1st, soon after UFPJ announced the big rally for Sept 24th. Why do they always skip over the summer months? Because that’s when the weather is nice, and people might actually have the time to camp and stay.
The crooks in power don’t care if we schedule another weekend protest- the one thing they don’t want is an extended protest like the Ukranians had. Several weeks of peaceful demonstration led to their President stepping down. That’s what we need.
We sure as hell don’t need this pathetic Congress to investigate anything else- at this point asking for another committee is just plain insanity.
Let’s think about this- do George Bush and Dick Cheney and the complicit fools in Congress want 500,000 Americans camping out on their front porch? No. So why are we appeasing them? They don’t want us camping on the Capitol mall- so we should do just that.
Thursday May, 18th Cindy Sheehan and Ray McGovern (mp3) are meeting at Lafayette park near the White House, then Marching to Rumsfeld’s personal residence. Wouldn’t it be great if someone brought a video cameda, and it’s thousands of people standing outside Rummy’s house, singing along to #3 from Neil Young’s new album, “Don’t Need- No More Lies!” In fact that ought to be on repeat over at the big protest camp going up on the DC Capitol Mall- with the speakers turned to Congress and cranked to 11.
March on the Capitol,
Stay Until the Nightmare is Over.
The DC Capitol Mall was created as a place for citizens to gather and protest their grievances to the government- that is it’s purpose.
Isn’t it time to use that space for an extended protest?
If not now when?

Why aren’t the big name progressive blogs trying to inform the non net-reading public? Why don’t they all post imformative impeach flyers for office workers across America to print out and post in the lunchroom. Why aren’t they all organizing for Jan 31? If not now, when?

Ha ha… on one hand we have a former Reagan official describing Bush’s Nazi tactics, we have two Repub Congressmen warning of BushCo declaring Martial Law…. but the most popular Dem blogger says absolutely nothing about that stuff, nothing about impeachment, and there’s little hope for the 2006 election.
This is a progressive leader? Sure. Gee, I wonder how “Kos” got to be so popular. Probably the same way Nancy “No Iraq Plan is our goal” Pelosi got to be Dem “Leader” of the House.

Did you know that Cindy Sheehan was offered 212 acres for the Crawford protest, but her mom got sick and “they” turned down the 212 acres while Cindy was gone. Do you realize what a difference that would have made….?

Do you ever talk to people and wish you could give them more info… how about having some little pocket sized flyers with info they didn’t know… click the pics for pdf flyers.
I like AngryGirl’s 20 Amazing Vote Facts, a great way to put it without being accusatory.
The 20 Vote Facts and Police State PDFs come in a 18×24 (or 8.5×11) single sheet flyer for posting on walls, telephone poles, etc - and a 4x (front and back) for putting in your pocket and passing out to people you meet.
This article by Mike Whitney does an excellent job of describing the Freedoms the current rulers have taken from us, unbeknownst to most Americans while they are too busy working and playing to pay attention.
