What We The People Should Do

Filed under: headline news — ben @ 8:23 pm

Mike Rivero at www.WhatReallyHappened.com is exactly right.

What we should do is gather in DC when the new Congress meets and tell them flat out that WE THE PEOPLE refuse to allow anything else to be done until the liars who tricked us into war are impeached, removed from office, and tried for war crimes.

We The People sent the new Congress to DC with a clear mandate. REMIND THEM OF THAT. Practice snarling now. Make a point of opposing any new legislation, no matter what it is. Stop every Congressional action in its tracks. Bring all congressional business to a dead halt until they deal with the task YOU SENT THEM TO WASHINGTON TO DEAL WITH.

Here is the campsite

Fascism cannot occur unless the opposition is totally disorganized. Why is the left so disorganized? What is preventing all the big name stars and intellectuals like from organizing a march until the nightmare is over. Why do we have ANSWER and World Can’t Wait taking turns organizing a weekend march every spring and fall. F*#k the weekend march- stay as long as it takes!

In the Ukraine protestors stayed for weeks, chanting “Police, Join the people”. The cops did leave their posts and the PM was forced to step down.

And just today in Beirut, there was a huge protest that may yield results.

Lebanon’s Saniora willing to talk after protest We need to see phrases like this in our News “…during the tenth day of an open-ended protest to force the resignation…”

By some estimates there were 2 million protesting the US backed gov’t

Giant loudspeakers blared out nationalist songs and drummers thudded a relentless beat on the 10th day of a round-the-clock protest aimed at forcing Siniora and his Sunni-backed majority to set up a government of national unity.

The noise was clearly audible inside the nearby government headquarters where Siniora and most of his ministers are holed up.

We can do that too!

    We need Neil Young, Steve Earle, Ani Difranco
    and a million people!

    Woodstock 2007

    We need to make enough noise that they cannot continue business as usual. No more Bullshit!
    WE DEMAND IMPEACHMENT and an END to THE LOOTING!

  2. mark Says:

    I think we should start the pressure now, by confronting congress this Christmas season.

    Find out where your congressman shops, lives whatever and ask them about impeachment with a video camera in hand.

    Why should we let them have a Merry Christmas? They certainly don’t deserve one.

  3. ben Says:

    STEAL THIS BANNER!

    or make your own.

    Bloggers Unite! It’s time for an open-ended march in DC. No more Saturday protests when Congress isn’t even there!

  4. Douglas Bews Says:

    1. All Congressmen/Women and Senators should be converted to employess of the State they represent. Of course there would be no decrease in pay, benifits or support staff. There shall be no more Federal Pay, Federal Benifits or Federal Emollients. Each state could therefore write their own laws of congressional conduct and punishment for violations including jail time.

    2. Lobbying shall be banned within the confines of Washington DC. All lobbying activities shall take place within the State Capital Buildings of each State. Lobbying outside of these confines will result in severe penalties and prison time for both lobbyist and representative. Lobbies of the people would thrive in every state in the Union while lobbies for corporate and international causes would be exposed to the light of day.

    3. Lawyers/Bar Members shall not hold Elective Office. Lawyers/Bar Members are Officers of the Court, thus members of the Judicial Branch of Government, where they should stay.

  5. qrswave Says:

    Lobbying should be BANNED, PERIOD.

    And lying in politics should be criminalized.

    I’m game for a sit in on Capitol Hill until the bastards start representing us instead of a rich minority.

  6. step/hen Says:

    If we don,t do what this web site is saying we have lost our country.There,s no other way of looking at it,we stand up, until all these things change in this country.To do nothing now would be the end of what ever we thought this country stood for!! THis country is sick and it must change,it,s time to get moving…

  7. Cafferty Rocks Says:

    Even Cafferty is wondering WTF is wrong with the Dems…

    “The incoming House Judiciary Chairman, John Conyers, had earlier sponsored a bill to investigate grounds for possible impeachment. Now, Conyers has backed off and agreed with Pelosi to rule out impeachment. Jesse Jackson wrote last week that even if Conyers won’t consider impeachment of President Bush, he, quote, ‘has a duty to convene serious hearings,’ unquote, on the President’s claims and what Jackson calls abuses to our Constitution. A poll that was taken right before the midterm elections showed that 28 percent of Americans say impeachment of President Bush should be a top priority. 23 percent say it should be a lower priority. And 44 percent say it shouldn’t happen at all. So here’s the question this hour: ‘Is it wrong for the incoming Congress to simply rule out the impeachment of President Bush?’ E-mail your thoughts on that to CaffertyFile@cnn.com or go to CNN.com/CaffertyFile. Wolf?”

    IMPEACH THEM NOW OR GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS COLLABORATORS!!!

  8. Ron Williams Says:

    This is a great idea!

    Cindy Sheehan will be walking the halls of congress starting Jan 3.

    The State of the Union is January 23-

    Okay, Where is Eminem?- Time for Mosh

  9. Brian Fejer Says:

    You can’t blame Bush, Cheney, Republicans, or Democrats, at some point you have to blame to American People.

    If there is a Revolution in DC, I’ll be there. With the resistance in all of its forms. Fluff up the feathers, heat up the black tar, and get a lot of rope.

    Styrofoam packing peanuts work good too!

  10. TT Says:

    you will have your own US made Tianamen square type episode.

  11. Anasazi Says:

    I’ve been saying this for the last few years. We need a min. of 10K protestors to take the streets of D.C. and to hold our ground. Any military man will tell you that. You occupy the territory and don’t give up your position. It can be done. Great website/blog.

  12. Daphne Says:

    That’s an absolutely BRILLIANT plan - maybe the VforV people will be there too, they have a HUGE Banner that says “No Answers, No Taxes.” Sweet!

    I saw a documentary the other night about the 60’s and showing the protestors put flowers in the barrels of the guns - what an image that is.

    I have thought for years that there should be a gigantic “RALLY OF RALLIES” - organized. All “issues” clearly defined so that even the dumbest president understands what the demands are. But what are the demands? What is the goal, end result.? What Will Really Happen? = )

    BUT THEY HAVE TO BE THERE - (if they aren’t there then you’re just pissing in the wind)

    Maybe there should also be a presence at the media stations - helllloooo, if they wont report it right, we’ll just do what we can to make it that much easier for them. We’ll bring the story to them! Nice of us, ain’t it?

    Yes, we have to do this, but we have to do it in EVERY CAPITOL CITY, not just “that” one - “down there”

    Will Rally for Peace,

    Daphne

  13. Oleg Says:

    Too bad the whole “Orange Revolution” was a US orchestrated Coup that replaced one corrupt government with another that was happy to support US plans for a price.

    Don’t believe all of that “people power” nonsense, many of those protestors were un-employed workers who were paid to stand around and hold posters and wear color coded clothing.

    The current President of Ukraine has no independent opinion, before making any decision he calls the EU and US governments to ask what he should do.

  14. TJ Says:

    I think we should all be aware of what lenghts this government would go to to stop this movement. The powers that be are hell bent on keeping there power grip on us. They’ve had plenty of time to perfect their mind control and other types of thought suppression and or enhancement. Based on recient conversations with strangers on the subject of our government carrying out
    9/11 to get us, The People into agreeing to let GWB take us to war I’m afraid it will be a long hard row to hoe if we are to get the people to believe in the Truth Movement, to wake up. I for one took an oath to support and defend the Constitution against ALL Enemies Foreign and Domestic when I joined the Navy in 1976. I still hold that oath to my heart. I am passing out copies of the Citizens Rule Book which is a compilation of our Great Nations’ Constitution and the Bill of Rights which I believe will be nothing more than a piece of memorabilia, a distant reminder of things that were due to the Patriot Act II (HR 3162). Edmund Burke put it back in the 1700’s, “The only thing necessary for EVIL to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” We need to spread the word not just in this avenue but verbally to Anyone & Everyone.

    Power To The Truth!!!!
    Power To The People!!!!

  15. mike williams Says:

    It is time to stop talking and take action. The first target are the members of the news media who are strangling our democracy. I call for all concerned patriotic Americans to [confront (edited)] these so-called journalists [with video cameras], the primary propaganda arm of this coming fascist government. Those of you with the capacity and equipment, hear this call and accept your civic patriotic duty, and if you cannot commit the act itself, spread this message to others who can. Let them know that it is time to expose the lies of September 11. Send a message to others to be responsible journalists. If you love this country, wake up, before the round up.

  16. Lonnie Fears Says:

    All rights come form the Declaration of Independence and back up by state and American constitution(Bill of Rights) . The right to abolish all or part of our government.It is a sovereign natural born American right. Democracy is mob rule but we now need to call on all to stand up and stop these madmen in the white house and the congress for not doing it’s job.Bush has no executive power to pass or declare war on a soveriegn county.The constitution puts limites on Bush power.

    Lonnie Fears Without Prejudice UCC. 1-207 & 1-103.6

  17. Jonathan Inskeep Says:

    There can no longer be any business as usual. We need to (again) put a million people in the streets of Washington DC, but this time we should all stay, until Bush-Cheney are behind bars and the troops are brought home.

  18. Bilisguru (alias Jeff Stasney) Says:

    I just posted a reply, albeit quite a long one.

    It didn’t post as of my refreshed page.

    Radical Muslims want you (The Infadel) erradicated too. No exceptions. THAT means Irael too.

    My comments were censored, we’ll see if these are as well.

  19. Bilisguru (alias Jeff Stasney) Says:

    Let’s try a shorter comment:
    A pastor from Pakistan and he told me the radical muslim goal is to take over America by the year 2020.

    When did the threat to us start?

    Many will say September 11, 2001. The answer as far as the United States is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001, with the following attacks on us:
    * Iran Embassy Hostages, 1979;
    * Beirut, Lebanon Embassy 1983;
    * Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks 1983;
    * Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988;
    * First New York World Trade Center attack 1993;
    * Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996;
    * Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy 1998;
    * Dares Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy 1998;
    * A! den, Yemen USS Cole 2000;
    * New York World Trade Center 2001;* Pentagon 2001.

    (Note that during the period from 1981 to 2001 there were 7,581 terrorist attacks worldwide).

    What does losing really mean?

    If we are to win, we must clearly answer these two pivotal questions:

    We can definitely lose this war, and as anomalous as it may sound, the major reason we can lose is that so many of us simply do not fathom the answer to the second question - What does losing mean?

    It would appear that a great many of us think that losing the war means hanging our heads, bringing the troops home and going on about our business, like post-Vietnam. This is as far from the truth as one can get.

    What losing really means is:

    We would no longer be the premier country in the world. The attacks will not subside, but rather will steadily increase. Remember, they want us dead, not just quiet. If they had just wanted us quiet, they would not have produced an increasing series of attacks against us, over the past 18 years. The plan was, clearly, for terrorists to attack us until we were neutered and submissive to them.

    We would, of course, have no future support from other nations, for fear of reprisals and for the reason that they would see; we are impotent and cannot help them.

    They will pick off the other non-Muslim nations, one at a time. It will be increasingly easier for them. They already hold Spain hostage. It doesn’t matter whether it was right or wrong for Spain to withdraw its troops from Iraq . Spain did it because the Muslim terrorists bombed their train and told them to withdraw the troops. Anything else they want Spain to do will be done. Spain is finished.

    The next will probably be France. Our one hope on France is that they might see the light and realize that if we don’t win, they are finished too, in that they can’t resist the Muslim terrorists without us. However, it may already be too late for France. France is already 20% Muslim and fading fast!

    Without our support Great Britain will go too. Recently I read that there are more mosques in England than churches.

    If we lose the war, our production, income, exports and way of life will all vanish as we know it. After losing, who would trade or deal with us if they were threatened by the Muslims. If we can’t stop the Muslim terrorists, how could anyone else?

    The radical Muslims fully know what is riding on this war, and therefore are completely committed to winning, at any cost. We better know it too and be likewise committed to winning at any cost.

    Why do I go on at such lengths about the results of losing? Simple. Until we recognize the costs of losing, we cannot unite and really put 100% of our thoughts and efforts into winning. And it is going to take that 100% effort to win.
