Kucinich visits Lebanon & Israel and finally ‘gets it’- “This is diabololical!”
Congressman Dennis Kucinich has recently returned from a fact finding mission to Lebanon and Israel and it is interesting to see the contrast of the damage done in the recent violence…
“Village after village was reduced to piles of rubble. We saw thousands of destroyed homes. We also saw bombed out hospitals, schools, factories, churches, mosques, fire stations, gas stations, cars, bridges, roads, water systems, electric systems, banana plantations, and lemon groves,” Kucinich said.
“In several villages we stopped and walked through piles of concrete and dust from what had once been homes. Public areas were littered with unexploded cluster bombs and land mines. The smell of death was everywhere. Homes still standing upon closer inspection had holes in the walls from artillery shells.”
After the Israelis suddenly canceled their flight from Beirut to Tel Aviv , Kucinich found a car to drive from Beirut, through Syria, Jordan and across the bridge into the West Bank.
The Kuciniches had hoped to visit the affected areas in northern Israel but were told by Israeli officials that there would not be much to see because repairs were almost completed.
After viewing the separation wall, Kucinch had a private meeting with 8 representatives from organizations doing work in Jerusalem….
After about 2 hours of dragging out maps of the division between east and west Jerusalem, the wall route, the settlements, the separation between Gaza and the rest of the West Bank, and other enlightening information, he finally stood up, spread his hands across the maps and said in a voice filled with disbelief, “This is diabolical!” Needless to say, we all agreed. For someone like Kucinich who has made some strong statements regarding the issue of Palestine and is currently working on getting a Department of Peace and Non-violence started at the Cabinet level (he already has over 60 other Congressional sign-ons) I was happy that he finally “got it”, but not surprised that he was as uninformed as he seemed to be.
After all of the death and destruction, the people of Lebanon were determined to deliver a message of peace…
“We do not hate America. We love the American people. We do not like what your government does. Please tell the American people that we are not terrorists. We do not hate Israel. We want to be safe in our village. We want to be left alone. We want peace.”
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem that Israel feels the same…

And now, those simple words will cause AIPAC to launch a secret war against the congressman because he has dared criticise Israel…
And who will pay for the damage caused? After WWII, Germany received billions in reperations from the allies, Lebanon and Palestine will not see a penny from the country who caused the damage because Israel will expect the US to pick up the tab for that as well as replacing expended weaponry and the total cost of the attacks itself.
How many more billions of dollars will the US taxpayer be bilked out of? Just to watch it be used to slaughter innocent civilians and kids…

And the saddest part is, Cong. Kucinich is one of a very small handful who are even willing to open their eyes and minds to something bedies that which is thrown at us all day and night for decades: poor, poor israel, the poor, poor israelis. We must help them from the bad, bad Palestinians.
And as was staed by AncientOne, Cong. Kucinich will be railroaded if he dares to say a single, solitary word more than he’s already said.
Bottom line: we should represent America and Americans, not israel and israelis.

To imply that Dennis Kucinich did not “get it” until he took the missus on a trip is to ‘misunderestimate’ Dennis Kucinich.
He saw through the bullshit early on about Iraq, and he understood how Israel fed false information to the Office of Special Plans through Feith. Kucinich may or may not ber Jewish, but he was the only one to call bullshit on Zionist compliance with Neocon ambition.
You can sound like a crazy, knowing what Kucinich knew about the basic political set-up in America.
So if anyone has physical documentation of money Kucinich accepted from AIPAC, I’d like to see it.

I am perplexed that you would diminish Kucinich’s reaction to “he finally gets it.” Kucinich got it long ago, and had the fortitude to stand up publicly for the Palestinians, at least 4 years ago that I know of. By virtue of his support for the Palestinians, that made him a target of the right-wing hate machine, which may account for recently published ramped-up editorial attacks by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
I don’t believe Kucinich was uninformed, I believe what he saw was beyond belief. And I believe you owe him an apology.
If you check THE BUYING OF THE PRESIDENT (2004, Center for Public Integrity), his campaign donations will tell you whose pocket he’s NOT in, and to whom he is not beholden. The man is clean. And for a politician, he’s probably the most honest one on Capital Hill.

It was the author of the original email that wrote “he finally “got it”. This person was in attendence in this meeting and apparently felt there was a change in Kucinich’s thinking on this. Perhaps he understood there was a wall, but did not realize the extent to which it is designed to imprison the Palestinians and drive them from their home.

I’ve talked at length several times with Dennis Kucinich and find him to be a most intelligent, perceptive, caring, and sincere elected official.
What he may finally realized is that Israel has no grounds whatsoever for calling its aggression “self defense.”

Israel Fakes a Provocation for WAR (the “kidnapping” of Cpl Gilad Shalit)
The following passages in italics are from this article published in the Telegraph on 26/06/2006.
Last night two Israeli soldiers were killed and another kidnapped in a dawn attack by Palestinian militants who tunnelled under Gazas heavily protected border.
The attackers, believed to number seven or eight, surprised Israeli forces when they appeared at first light through a tunnel on open ground 300 yards inside Israel near a kibbutz.
Gaza is built on old semi-consolidated sand dunes. It is extremely unlikely that anyone could tunnel 500, or more, yards in the sandy ground of Gaza (300 yards into Israel plus 200 yards of no-mans land plus more to the tunnel entrance), without the tunnel collapsing at some point, or the Israeli listening equipment, hearing their tunneling activity.
They split into three groups before launching simultaneous attacks on three Israeli defensive positions - a look-out tower, plus a tank and an (unoccupied) armoured personnel carrier, both dug in, facing Gaza.
If you were only seven or eight, would you split into three groups? If you were only two, or three, would you attack a tank over flat ground, manned by four soldiers waiting inside to kill you?
They blew open the tanks rear doors (a merkava tank has one rear door) with a missile fired from point-blank range before tossing grenades inside. Two of the tank crew died and another was severely wounded but the final crew member, the gunner, was forced out of the wreckage at gunpoint.
The rear doors are blown off and a few grenades popped inside. Tanks are not made to fall apart. Blowing off the rear doors would have taken a blast sufficient to seriously hurt those inside. The grenades would have then made mincemeat of them.
One wonders, if it is standard practice to wear a bulletproof vest inside a hot tank, especially Shalit, who was supposedly the gunner. One would think that the tank would be bulletproof enough not to require such a vest. Can Israeli tanks stop bullets, or not?
Later reports, from the New York Times and others, tell us that Shalit suffered only minor injuries to his abdomen and one arm, even though everyone else in the tank was severely wounded or killed. Shalit would have been very close to those killed (there isn’t much spare room in a tank). And, how exactly did the Jew press find out about this, when no one else seems to have known.
Israeli trackers said they found his blood-stained bulletproof vest close to the Gaza perimeter fence.
The militants force Shalit to take off his bulletproof vest and leave it close to the Gaza concentration camp fence, in order to help the Israelis with their investigation.
By the way, whose blood is it on his bulletproof vest? Did his minor wounds bleed profusely, or was it the other soldiers blood and guts all over him. Pity their bulletproof vests didn’t save them.
Meanwhile, two other militants attacked a nearby concrete watchtower…. The troop carrier was also damaged in another attack but it was unoccupied. The attackers then escaped back into Gaza by cutting their way through the perimeter fence.
Interestingly, the attackers escaped easily by cutting through the (electrified) perimeter fence, yet cutting through the perimeter fence in order to get in, was so hard to do, that they burrowed through half a mile of sandy ground instead. Something wrong with this story, perhaps?
After all this commotion, the soldiers in all the nearby Gaza concentration camp guard-towers, manage to miss a few Arabs running the 300 yards, over flat ground, back to the perimeter fence, miss them when they cut through it, and miss them running across no-mans land to safety. And why, you may ask, did they not return through the tunnel they had painstakingly dug?
Not only did the Israeli watchers sleep during the explosions and pandamonium, but our heroic freedom fighters did not put a foot wrong as they ran through the no-mans land minefield. Allah, was truly with them.
If you believe this sad tale, I have a bridge to sell you.
The Hamas political leadership sought to distance itself from the incident last night when a spokesman said it had no knowledge of the fate of Cpl Shilat. Ghazi Hamad, a spokesman, said: “We are calling on the resistance groups, if they do have the missing soldier to protect his life and treat him well.”
Yes, the Hamas political leadership had no idea of the fate of Cpl Shilat, as the story is a total fabrication.
The Jew press then claims that the Popular Resistance Committees, the armed wing of Hamas and the (previously unknown) Army of Islam were jointly responsible for the kidnapping of Shilat.
Why three groups you may ask?
The reason for three groups, is so that each of them might believe that the other has the “kidnapped” soldier, when, in fact, none of them have him. He is sipping coffee in Tel Aviv.
And why did a “previously unknown” group put up its hand?
Well, just in case one of the groups had doubts that the other group had the “kidnapped” soldier, they certainly couldn’t be sure the “previously unknown” group didn’t have him,… because after all, they don’t have any idea who is leading, or anyone in, this unknown group.
So the reason for the weird “I did it arrangement,” is so that the Jew press can claim that the Arabs claimed responsibility, when all they have done, is to NOT deny they did it.
Oh yeah, the “previously unknown” group is a Jew invention. It doesn’t exist, except in the Jew newspapers.
Of course, shortly, the Army of Islam will need to be created (by the Jews) in order to negotiate the “release” of Shilat.
As part of the fabrication, the Jews chose to have a Israeli/French citizen “kidnapped,” as the French have not been slavishly following the Jew script, and this could be used to force their hand in the desired way.
If you are not already convinced that the whole story is a fabrication, ask yourself; What were the four Israeli soldiers doing in the tiny confines of that dug-in tank? Ask your self; How long were they going to continue sitting in that tank? All day perhaps, or till they roasted in the desert sun? Or, till another group of four took over on the next shift? And of course, having four soldiers in just one tank, wont provide a defense, so there will have to be hundreds of tanks and hundreds of soldiers all sitting in these tanks,…
all waiting,… all waiting,… all waiting,…. for exactly what?
Waiting for Palestinian children to throw stones at them, perhaps? Perhaps, waiting attentively for militants to dig a half mile tunnel through sandy soil, pop up, and rush them over flat ground, but not attentively enough to see them approach? Perhaps, they were waiting for the Egyptian army to materialize, Star Trek like, from their bases hundreds of miles away on the other side of the Suez canal? I dont know,… you tell me why?

Patrick Sullivan is correct. The ultimate goal here is One World Gov’t. As the US army (and Israeli army) causes chaos in the Middle East, the US gov’t erodes rights at home by stealing private lands, rigging elections, caging protestors, banning books like “America Deceived” from Amazon, and starting illegal wars based on lies. During the past two months, July and August, 251 Palestinians were killed in Gaza and the West Bank, all of them by Israel Defense Forces fire. About half of them were civilians, including women, children and the elderly.

Somebody should get kuccinich in touch with the mayor of Salt Lake city and the growing number of other politicians who demand accountablity and honesty in dealing with the atrrocities in the world at large… Not just in the united states, but accross the globe. More and more public servants seem to be getting disgusted by the consortium of economic power-houses that have left many of the citizens of the globe bereft of hope, as alluded to in the refusal of stopovers of us weapons shipments to isreal by european nations (including BRITAIN!).
It’s time for the civic minded concious people in power to create another “coalition of the willing” to institue a checks - and - balances system to override the one that the american government has gone to great lengths to squander. This fascism cannot stand another day without dire expense to the nations of the world, and wether or not kuccinich “got it” before or after his visit to these war torn nations is not of importance. What does matter is that he has come out and told other people what the conditions and policies are diabolical. He had my vote in the 2004 primaries, and as one of the only progressive politicians in the u.s. who is willing to speak up for political revisions, he will continue to have my vote in the future. Dennis Kuccinich for president!

The US is really now under the great threat. And this threat is elementary fascism, which is plaguing the country at lightening speed! This fascism and its ideology are coming from the top country leaders, from its own administration. The great Pres. Lincoln, Washington and Roosevelt might spin out in their coffins now- their great country, their Constitution and Declaration of Human Right are torn away and neglected. We just literally legalized the torture, the human abuse. Now every person and I seriously mean it, every person is under the great threat to be condemned with sympathy to terrorists even under false accusation. This person can be locked away, shipped away and stay tortured and prisoned indefinite time and have no rights to call for personal lawyer! If you tell me that the time when your neighbor will call “secret police” and accuse you in nonsupporting the current regime rules and you will be coin the “enemy supporter” label and be prosecuted for that, if you tell me that scenario is just a bad dream, think again! That scenario is what happened in Hitler’s Germany and Stalin’s Russia. And they suffered the same pre-fascism syndromes as US is suffering right now. I know what I am saying. I am from former Soviet Union and I remember my own doom history very well. I warn you, people, stop fascism now! The symptoms in the current US government is very very alarming. They strikingly resembles what my country went through. The hell is lying ahead and only we, people, have an ability to stop it. How on Earth did Hezbollah Launch around 4,236 rockets from under the nose of so many Israeli Military? ?
I do not believe the Israeli Military are that incompetent, that they allowed all these rockets to be fired from under their noses…. from positions in Lebanon they were occupying ! ! !
The area of Lebanon, South of The Litanui River is approx 20 miles across, by 16 miles deep. Not very Big!
After the war started, the Israelis moved in Tanks , APC’s, mobile artillery, thousands of soldiers. In fact, when it was reported there were 30,000 Israeli troops on the ground, that is around 75 soldiers per square mile.
The Israelis will have hi-resolution satellite & aerial recon images of where bunkers would be (If there were Bunkers).
The area would have been intensively patrolled by Unmanned drones with Hi-Resolution Cameras, Manned spotter Aircraft, Helicopter Gunships, Photo reconnaissance aircraft, spy satellites. The Israelis will have special services recce teams and mossad on the ground, identifying anything that moved for artillery, gunship or airstrikes.

The Israelis Killed the UN Observers (Witnesses) and warned that people in cars e.g. TV & News Crews, Red Cross, HRW, (Witnesses) would be targeted by F16’s Helicopter Gunships, UAV Drones, Tanks etc..
I then watched Video of supposed rockets that landed in Israel more carefully… Some scenes appear to have been staged.
E.g.
Cars burning, no impact crater, piece of rocket for news crews to conveniently film / photograph.
Buildings in Haifa that have been hit by either a ZelZal2, Fahir 5 or RAAD1 rocket and are still reasonably intact.
(The rocket would impact at close to MACH 2, the payload of 100kg to 600kg would obliterate the building it hit and others close by)
