Time to Stop the Lies- America Wants the Truth about 911

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 8:26 am

Feeling confident on Iraq, Cheney just offered his “insurgency is in it’s last throes” words of comfort again. This weekend on the Sunday shows, Condi gave her perky assessment “I understand that Americans see on their screens violence. They continue to see Americans killed, and we mourn every death. These are very hard things to do. But I would ask that people remember why we are there…I understand that it’s hard, it’s also hard–harder to see the quiet progress on the political front, the coming together of Iraqis, Sunnis, Shia, Kurds, to build their political future. And so I, I understand that Americans want us to succeed and that the question is, “Can we succeed?” And I just want to say we can.”

Condi’s and Dick’s cheerleading does nothing to change the fact that Iraq is a lost cause…
Insurgent attacks in Iraq at highest level in 2 years

The Pentagon reported yesterday that the frequency of insurgent attacks against troops and civilians is at its highest level since American commanders began tracking such figures two years ago, an ominous sign that, despite three years of combat, the US-led coalition forces haven’t significantly weakened the Iraq insurgency.

….still they continue to push for Iran, constantly stating that it is the entire world, not just the bush cabal, that feels we must deal with Iran’s nuclear threat. Not suprisingly, that too is a lie.

Mohamed ElBaradei just told a conference in Monterey California that Iran does not pose an immediate nuclear threat and the world must act cautiously to avoid repeating mistakes
ElBaradei: Iran not an immediate nuclear threat

Mohamed ElBaradei, director of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said the world shouldn’t “jump the gun” with erroneous information as he said the U.S.-led coalition did in Iraq in 2003, nor should it push the country into retaliation as international sanctions did in North Korea.

“Our assessment is that there is no immediate threat,” the winner of the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize told a forum organized by the Monterey Institute of International Studies south of San Francisco. “We still have lots of time to investigate.”

“You look around in the Middle East right now and it’s a total mess,” he said. “You can not add oil to that fire.”

“I ask myself every day if that’s the way we want to go in getting rid of every single dictator,” ElBaradei said.

“It would be terrible” to try to strengthen sanctions, which could force Iran to retaliate, he said.

ElBaradei seems to agree with the peace movement in the US, not the Bush cabal. It appears that he does not agree with the Iran Freedom Support Act, and views further sanctions as the US government attempting to provoke Iran. So why have so many on both sides of the isle joined to support it? It seems as if they want to provoke Iran.

The polls are consistently showing that Americans are sick of this nonsense. But the most suprising of all is the new Zogby poll which illustrates that the American people no longer believe the lie that started all of the lies…

NEW ZOGBY POLL REVEALS OVER 70 MILLION VOTING AGE AMERICANS DISTRUST OFFICIAL 9/11 STORY AND SUPPORT NEW INVESTIGATION OF POSSIBLE US GOVERNMENT ROLE IN THE ATTACKS

42% believe there has indeed been a cover up (10% unsure)

45% think “Congress or an International Tribunal should re-investigate the attacks, including whether any US government officials consciously allowed or helped facilitate their success” (8% unsure)

Poll co-author, W. David Kubiak concurs, saying: “Despite years of relentless media promotion, whitewash and 9/11 Commission propaganda, the official 9/11 story still can’t even muster 50% popular support. Since this myth has been the administration’s primary source of political and war-making power, this level of distrust has revolutionary implications for everyone working for peace, justice and civil liberties. If we ever hope to reclaim this country, end aggression and restore international respect, we all must finally scrutinize that day when things started to go so terribly wrong. The media and movement leaders ignore this call at their peril, because tens of millions are clearly telling us here they are ready for 9/11 truth”.

With their support systems crumbling, this evil cabal is certain to collapse soon.

To Impeach or not to Impeach-That shouldn’t even be a question!

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 9:19 am

To anyone who has read the Constitution and and has any sort of need for justice, it has become blatatly obvious that the only way to uphold our Constitution and stop these criminals with sinister intentions is to Impeach Bush and Cheney immediately to stop them from committing any more atrocities, looting the treasury and prevent them from being in charge during any more national emergencies. We have been given a line of excuses as to why this hasn’t happened which goes something like this 1.We cannot impeach unless there is an investigation. 2. We cannot have an investigation unless we have a democratic majority.

First of all, Do we really need an investigation to impeach Bush over illegal wiretapping? We all know that even Bush knows what he has been doing is illegal when he stated “a wiretap requires a court order”. After this he went on national TV and declared that he had the authority to break the law and will continue to do so. Is an investigation really needed when Bush has openly admitted to breaking the law? If articles of impeachment were brought forth right now, an investigation would take place as part of the proceedings and the only logical conclusion would be to impeach Bush and Cheney. This would be the perfect opportuninty to see who is a patriot and who is a traitor before the next ‘election’.

John Conyers has introduced a resolution for a committee to investigate impeachment over Iraq, avoiding the illegal wiretapping because ‘he had written it up before the wiretapping revelations”, but then just happened to introduce it right after the illegal wiretapping revelations. Many people still believe that John Conyers is pursuing impeachment over illegal wiretapping but that is not the case. He is now planning to take Bush to court to get him to stop illegal wiretapping, but he is not planning on holding him accountable for it.

The Democrats expect us to do whatever we can to get them elected so that when they have control of congress they will hold Bush accountable but is that really the case? Nancy Pelosi who ‘leads’ the Democrats in the House isn’t really interested in impeachment

“We want oversight and checks and balances,'’ Pelosi spokesman Brendan Daly said she told the caucus. “That certainly isn’t being done in this Congress (under Republican control). Impeachment was never her interest.'’….In a memo sent to supporters this week, Pelosi stressed her priorities in the new Congress if Democrats win — raising the minimum wage, implementing all recommendations of the Sept. 11 commission, cutting subsidies for oil companies, reducing student loan rates and making prescription drugs more affordable.

Those are all great issues to look at if if we didn’t have a governnment sending our troops to commit war crimes in illegal wars and threatening to do more of the same. But that doesn’t seem to bother the democrats in congress very much because most of them just voted for the “Iran Freedom Support Act” including John Conyers who we are expecting to hold Bush accountable come November? Barbara Boxer, another progressive ‘leader’ is cosponsoring the act in the senate and with 21 democratic cosponsors it is sure to pass. Not only are the democrats letting Bush off the hook, they are continuing to enable him.

Most other ‘democrats’ do not support impeachment. With a clear majority of the American people supporting impeachment, the ‘democrats’ are worried about the 30% backwash coming out in droves to support Republicans in order to defend Bush. So what if they did? That is only a small percentage. Why would anyone cater to the backwash? True patriotic Americans, both Democrats and Republicans, have had it with this regime. Why is anyone worried about the last few delusional followers of Bush?

John Edwards, who is planning to run for president, has come out against impeachment….this from an astute observer on the Democratic Underground

I caught the tail end of “This Week” with George Stephanopolis and heard Edwards saying it. He doesn’t think it would be good to put the country through another scenario like with what we saw with the Clinton impeachment.

Someone needs to tell Mr Edwards that there’s a difference between what Clinton did and what Bush has done.

If Edwards doesn’t want to impeach Bush, he should’ve just avoided the question, STFU about it, and waited until we’re in a more unified position on what direction to go about it.

How any Democrat would want to let a criminal like Bush off the hook is beyond comprehension. Here we go again. People like Edwards are too worried about being too careful for political reasons, yet they’ll spin it to sound like they’re doing it in the best interests of the country. They’re so afraid to take a chance it’s sickening!

and these are some of the answers in his defense?

Feingold said the exact same thing Edwards did on Meet the Press? He said he was against impeachment, and for censure.

so you won’t be voting for….Edwards, Feingold, Kerry, Clinton, Bayh, Richardson, Warner or any other dem that runs? The only ones who have come out for impeachment are Conyers, and Pelosi said it was possible if laws were broken, and who else?

It has become apparent that no one in congress can be trusted to stop this evil regime which is why we must throw them all out ASAP and start over. The good news is that we do have impeachment candidates taking a stand. Real American who are patriots, not politicians are running for office. Take for instance Karen Marie Otter running for California district 52

I am not running for office to make money nor am I running for office to obtain power. I am running for office to make a difference.

If the Republicans continue to refuse to clean their house, we must give the Democrats a majority in the House of Representatives so it can begin the process to demand answers from President Bush. Yes, indeed, I mean impeachment. The People cannot further afford the incompetence of this Administration and must demand action of the Congress.

The people of our nation must now stand up and say, “No more!” I will stand up for all of us whose hearts are heavy with sorrow over where our country is headed.

Andy Warren is running for congressional district 1 PA…

Andy has become one of the first Congressional candidates in the country to publicly back an impeachment probe of George W. Bush.

‘’I'd support it because I believe the president lied to the American people about the reasons for war,'’ Warren said. ‘’I believe there is enough evidence to begin the process of impeachment hearings.'’

There are more and I need your help to find them. Please find out who is running in your district and where they stand on impeachment. If you have a good candidate, please let me know at notoneincumbent.com If not please consider running yourself or encouraging an unemployed friend. $160,000… only work 100 days per year….who could pass that up? I have a new meme….Anybody but the current congress!

Ray McGovern & Cindy Sheehan to lead March on the White House

Filed under: US Govt, headline news, flyers — ben @ 5:23 pm

World Can’t Wait just announced their next major protest- October. Anyone else think that’s a little funny?

Last year the Downing Street Memo came out on May 1st, soon after UFPJ announced the big rally for Sept 24th. Why do they always skip over the summer months? Because that’s when the weather is nice, and people might actually have the time to camp and stay.

The crooks in power don’t care if we schedule another weekend protest- the one thing they don’t want is an extended protest like the Ukranians had. Several weeks of peaceful demonstration led to their President stepping down. That’s what we need.

We sure as hell don’t need this pathetic Congress to investigate anything else- at this point asking for another committee is just plain insanity.

Let’s think about this- do George Bush and Dick Cheney and the complicit fools in Congress want 500,000 Americans camping out on their front porch? No. So why are we appeasing them? They don’t want us camping on the Capitol mall- so we should do just that.

Thursday May, 18th Cindy Sheehan and Ray McGovern (mp3) are meeting at Lafayette park near the White House, then Marching to Rumsfeld’s personal residence. Wouldn’t it be great if someone brought a video cameda, and it’s thousands of people standing outside Rummy’s house, singing along to #3 from Neil Young’s new album, “Don’t Need- No More Lies!” In fact that ought to be on repeat over at the big protest camp going up on the DC Capitol Mall- with the speakers turned to Congress and cranked to 11.

March on the Capitol,
Stay Until the Nightmare is Over.

PDF flyerThe DC Capitol Mall was created as a place for citizens to gather and protest their grievances to the government- that is it’s purpose.

Isn’t it time to use that space for an extended protest?

If not now when?

Iran Freedom Support Act to Pass US Senate with 21 Democratic Cosponsors

Filed under: headline news — Lula @ 10:24 am

Thank you to the WhatReallyHappened reader who has alerted me to the fact that Rick Santorum has already introduced the “Iran Freedom Support Act” in the US senate and with 58 cosponsors the vote is only a formality. It turns out we have 21 democrats to thank for this act’s easy passage and wouldn’t you know it the AIPAC
website has the list of cosponsors. The following Democrats COSPONSORED this bogus legislation including the infamous Barbara Boxer, known as the only Democrat in the senate to stand up for democracy when challenging the election November 2004.

Daniel Akaka (HI)
Max Baucus (MT)
Evan Bayh (IN)
Barbara Boxer (CA)
Maria Cantwell (WA)
Kent Conrad (ND)
John Corzine (NJ)
Mark Dayton (MN)
Byron Dorgon (ND)
Richard Durbin (IL)
Dianne Feinstein (CA)
Tim Johnson (SD)
Herb Kohl (WI)
Mary Landriew (LA)
Carl Levin (MI)
Joe Lieberman (CT)
Lincoln Blanche (AR)
Barbara Mikulski (MD)
Ben Nelson (NE)
Bill Nelson (FL)
Debbie Stabenow (MI)

I think Green Party senate candidate Rae Vogeler(WI) says it well...

“If the history of the Iraq conflict tells us anything, it is that the results of regime change in Iran will be disastrous,” Vogeler said. “The U.S. economy will slide deeper into debt and possibly recession. The Middle East will slide further into chaos. The U.S. will be further isolated internationally. There will be greater anger among 1.2 billion Muslims from the Middle East to the South Pacific. Oil prices will continue to skyrocket. There will be more pointless death and destruction.”

“I am very concerned, perhaps more than our current administration and Senator Kohl, about the dangers of nuclear proliferation,” added Vogeler. “The U.S has more nuclear weaponry than any other nation. We have ten thousand nuclear war heads and Iran has none. Let’s stop nuclear proliferation by beginning to disarm here at home.”

“Sanctions on Iraq destroyed millions of Iraqi lives,” added Vogeler. “Economic sanctions are the ultimate weapons of mass destruction and the first strike in almost any war.”

I also applaud his his efforts to do his part to take back OUR congress. The way things are looking, there is not much hope for change even if we do elect a democratic congress(and that is only if they bother counting our votes next time).I don’t believe the Green Party is necessarily the best method however. There are many Democratic and Republican primaries still open. Many times these traitors to our country continue to get elected without a real challenger. Everyone needs to take the time to find out what is happening in their state and if need be run yourself or at least find a real challenger you can get behind and do everything you can to help them get elected. In the process of this primary and general election season we also need to do everything we can to expose the election fraud that is taking place in this country. Remember the exit polls? Time is running out folks, it is time to take back our country!
