New “Patriot” Act Creates American Gestapo
Hitler had the brownshirts- his Gestapo that went around the country taking out dissenters. The New “Patriot” Act creates a new American Gestapo: (Section 605)
There is hereby created and established a permanent police force, to be known as the `United States Secret Service Uniformed Division’. Subject to the supervision of the Secretary of Homeland Security…
The new USSSUD will be in DC, but also everywhere Bush travels, or former Presidents, or heads of state, or even at events labeled a “special event of national significance.” (#11)

Has America ever had a federal police force? No. Why do we need one now? To protect us, or to oppress us? It sure looks as if this new police force will be have the authority to arrest anyone that gets too close to a member of Congress. Bush says trust me, it’s for your own protection. Isn’t that exaclty what Hitler told Germany?
Section 602 states that Americans can be arrested for interfering with “National Special Security Events”. You can even be arrested for conspiring to interfere with an “NSSE”. In other words, an American citizen can be arrested for calling some friends and scheduling an unauthorized meeting with a CongressCritter.
Under this new draconian law, any event the DHS labels an NSSE opens the door to arresting citizens that dare to speak out. Free Speech, Freedom to Assemble? Not in Bush’s America.
They even changed the language from events “designated” NSSEs to “described” as an NSSE. Again, opening the door to abuse- anytime a protest gets too big, the fascists can describe it as an NSSE and arrest anyone they so desire.
For protesting the actions of our government, a citizen could get 1 year in jail, or up to 10 years if they are carrying a “dangerous weapon” like a sign, or even a video camera, as the cop declares in this video.
This is Fascism, America. What are you going to do about it?
Tell People- this must not pass!

Hey there silly boy. You should really check your history before you start on a blind, fanatical tirade about something you obviously know nothing about. The Secret Service Uniformed Division was created in 1922 from members of the Metropolitan Police Force in Washington, DC and originally called the White House Police. In 1977(!) it was renamed the Uniformed Division. Not under the patriot act…. It is true they protect the president and have federal police authority, but not to the extent to which you have “imagined” it. You might also check them out on wikipedia….tool.

WHO do you think has been providing security for the White House for about 75 years??? Who are those men in uniform that check your bags before you go on the White House tour? Now, who could they be? DUH???
There’s certainly no fooling you!

your “report” on the uniformed division just proves that your website, and others like it, are completely useless! If only you used your research abilities for something good, the internet might be a better place.
I am laughing at you right now, rolling on the floor!

If they already exist then why is there a SB proposed to create them?
That would make no sense at all, and of course, that is not at all the case.
The SB in question proposes the creation of an entirely new outfit, the `United States Secret Service Uniformed Division’, having both far greater power and venue than the already existing outfit of similar name, the`Secret Service Uniformed Division’.
It is very clear that the two posters above, “s” and “laffin”, are absolutely clueless having no idea what they are talking about.
January 5th, 2006 at 11:35 am
Interesting how such absolute fools, completely unaware of the grave danger they are in, are so quick to ridicule what goes right over their pointy little heads.
January 5th, 2006 at 11:49 am
It’s the `United States Secret Service Uniformed Division’, not the old white house security `Secret Service Uniformed Division’ you jerks.
They wouldn’t put up a senate bill to create an already existing agency! Use your head for something besides a toupee holder!
This is exactly why our nation is transforming into a police state! Just as in Hitler’s time, there is no shortage of blindly complacent and gullible flag waving morons so essential to make it possible.

It happens so slowly you barely notice it, until it is too late, and often you aren’t sure it happened at all except in hindsight.

Here’s a link to the United States Secret Service Uniform Division.
http://www.ustreas.gov/usss/ud.shtml
From their website:
“After several name revisions, the force officially adopted its current name, the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division in 1977.”
I’ve a neighbor who retired from the USSS/UD with 25 years service.

Read the SB in question.
House Report 109-333 - USA PATRIOT IMPROVEMENT AND REAUTHORIZATION ACT OF 2005
[Excerpt]
There is hereby created and established a permanent police force, to be known as the `United States Secret Service Uniformed Division’. Subject to the supervision of the Secretary of Homeland Security, the United States Secret Service Uniformed Division shall perform such duties as the Director, United States Secret Service, may prescribe in connection with the protection of the following:
[end excerpt]
Same name different outfit, with new authority under the DHS, granting the President broad discretionary control of it also. This is not the same USSSUD of old.
Their power is being greatly expanded, to even include warrantless arrests, for nebulous offenses unspecified by law.
The new US SS UD will also be a centralized National Police Force with full authority over all civilian law enforcement agencies.
Such SUPER POLICE are common to all police states, and this is the point which you seek to obfuscate by attempting to redirect the topic.
You wrote, “I’ve a neighbor who retired from the USSS/UD with 25 years service.”
I say to that. So what? Your claimed association does not confer authority upon you, nor does it any way establish your credibility. Your attempt to associate yourself thusly is a well known disinformationists tactic.
You are very obvious.

(Incredibly clueless) I will laugh last though writes: “Same name different outfit, with new authority under the DHS, granting the President broad discretionary control of it also. This is not the same USSSUD of old”. You are obviously a person who does not know the facts. This is precisely the same agency that was formerly under the Department of Treasury. But, thanks to our “friends” in the middle east, a new department of Homeland Security was created to protect our great land, whether you agree with it or not, and the USSS/UD fell under its mission to protect. It is not a centralized gestapo as this “website” loves to lay claim to, it is an agency dedicated to protection. It does have federal police power, and the authority to enforce DC code, but that is about it. You don’t need to know how I know what I do. But rest assured, I will continue to defend this group of men and women who put their lives on the line day to day to protect the very office (not necessarily just the person) that ensures our government (again, whether you agree with it or not) continues to operate. No matter who is in office, people will disagree with some or all of their policies, and I do not envy them, especially with “websites” like this in existence. And if freedom of speech is an excuse, just remember where you got that right.

“s” wrote, “But, thanks to our “friends” in the middle east, a new department of Homeland Security was created to protect our great land, ….”
Bush Cheney Rumsfeld and Co., they have done these things, not Mideast terrorists.
It’s the same old story. Hitler had the “Jewish Bankers” and England, to blame for “necessitating his protection” of Germany, and Bush has his own set of convenient scapegoats. It is the exact same story being repeated. Hitler had his Reichstag fire, and Bush had his 911.
“s” writes again, “You don’t need to know how I know what I do.”
LOL! There you go again.
I can tell you this right up front. I am an American. I am not about to give up my civil rights for false security.
This world has always been a dangerous place, and freedom has always been very costly. The wise know that freedom is priceless, and they know also that the “safety” Bush promises in exchange for it, is a mere fools ransom and nothing more.
Why do you think they call America the land of the free and the home of the brave?
If you are not brave enough to live here in freedom, then go live in a safe and orderly police state, somewhere else.

Well, I have enjoyed my short time here on this decroted piece of crap website. They say washington is the home of the “spin” masters, but I disagree, they are here. Enjoy your medications, all of them.

And to the guys saying, “It’s ok they are only here for them.”
Those who would give up an essential liberty for a temporary security deserve niether liberty or security.
Or in easier to understand words- I’d rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

i was recently in ny and say an interesting looking police car.
it was brand new. not a scratch on it. parked on a normal city street in manhattan new central park.
it was marked “federal police” and on the seal was written “department of homeland security”.
regardless of semantics over their name and such, this is an entirely new being, even if it was created out of an old force. the secret service never drove around in marked police cars, and they sure as shit didn’t do it in the middle of manhattan when nothing was going on.
this is scary, and it makes me angry. you guys are laughing now, and thats fine. but if enough people dont hear this and get pissed and do something, we will have a real problem on our hands. and you will be shameful when you turn out to be the nazis of this century.
we’re right on track. open up your eyes.
israel, our ally, is posturing for an invasion of syria and iran, with the support of the us.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/americas/2902943.stm
http://www.abbaswatchman.com/NEWS%20WILL%20ISRAEL%20START%20WORLD%20WAR.html
http://www.michnews.com/artman/publish/article_11393.shtml
and if you think that is all just weird conspiracy crap it isn’t. iran will develop enriched weapons grade radioactive substances, they are on the record saying this. israel has gone on the record saying they will unilaterally (like the us with iraq) go into iran. russia has gone on the record saying that they will militarily defend iran. we have gone on the record saying we will defend israel.
why is this so hard to see?

you guys are all idiots. laugh now.

Ah how quick the foolish are to attack. They jump upon the issue of whether the Uniform Division already exists or not. What cute little sheeple they make…
WAKE UP! DON’T BE A MORON! ZZZzzzzz….
The issue isn’t if they already exist or not, it’s the WIDE OPEN vague language used to expand their powers in a manner which is COMPLETELY in violation of the the Constitution. You know that GD piece of paper that keeps getting in the King’s, I mean, President’s way?
For those of you that have commented here and are awake. God bless you!
For those of you who jump to attack and pretend that everything is OK and the rest of us are paranoid and whacko… Take your own advice. Go do some research. When you discover the truth came and join me brother. In the meantime I’ll continue to defend your liberty even if you won’t.

It’s not that the United States Secret Service Uniform Division has not existed, because they have. The new revision to the Patriot Act gives them Gestapo-like power. They’ve been around since 1977, to protect the president, yes. Now they have more power. Take a second, open your minds, and read. It’s all there.
