RFID Tags: In case you hadn’t heard

Filed under: US Govt, Spooky technology, Spying — ben @ 12:01 am

This article pretty much sums it up:

Could we be constantly tracked through our clothes, shoes or even our cash in the future?

I’m not talking about having a microchip surgically implanted beneath your skin, which is what Applied Digital Systems of Palm Beach, Fla., would like to do. Nor am I talking about John Poindexter’s creepy Total Information Awareness spy-veillance system, which I wrote about last week.

Instead, in the future, we could be tracked because we’ll be wearing, eating and carrying objects that are carefully designed to do so.

The generic name for this technology is RFID, which stands for radio frequency identification. RFID tags are miniscule microchips, which already have shrunk to half the size of a grain of sand. They listen for a radio query and respond by transmitting their unique ID code. Most RFID tags have no batteries: They use the power from the initial radio signal to transmit their response.

After this was written, Congress passed the new National ID Card Bill. In a year, all US Driver’s licenses will have RFID chips… the police state will be complete.

The Framers gave us The DC Mall (Sat Photo) Why don’t we use it?

Filed under: headline news — ben @ 8:53 pm

The First Amendment:

Congress shall make no law.. abridging the freedom of speech.. or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

We have the right to peaceably assemble and petition this government for these grievances (among many others). That is the purpose of the DC Mall. I say it’s high time we use it.

How long til we realize that a Saturday afternoon protest ain’t gonna cut it. It’s time to stay as long as it takes.

New Orleans Insanity: $60,000 to lease a trailer, while thousands evicted from Public Housing

Filed under: Katrina, US Govt, headline news — ben @ 5:55 pm

What America needs is some common sense. How can intelligent people let this pass?

For those displaced by Katrina, the US Gov’t is paying $60,000 per trailer, for an 18 month lease! So that $60,000 goes to the trailer company, not a dime to the people that lost everything. That’s $3,300 per month, which could get each family a nice condo, plus food, clothing and other essentials. But noooo, our government won’t allow that. W.T.F!

More Americans screwed while the pigs gorge at the trough.

What makes this doubly outrageous, is that there are plenty of Public Housing Projects that received little to no damage- yet the city has closed them down. The street lights are on, but the city won’t turn on the power to the projects. This video by Flux shows the water line on the 2nd step, with people refusing to leave their UNDAMAGED property. Trying to force them out, the city still hasn’t restored their their power since the Hurricane.

Street lights work, but they won’t give residents electricty. Who says this is ok?

Isn’t this enough already? Somebody arrest the perpetrators of this organized crime.

Screw the Photos: Bush, Abramoff Smoking Gun is W Removing Prosecutor Twice

Filed under: headline news, Impeach — ben @ 10:32 am

Twice now, Bush has removed the prosecutor in the Abramoff case. Twice!

From the LA Times, Aug 8, 2005 via Bellaciao:

WASHINGTON — A US grand jury in Guam opened an investigation of controversial lobbyist Jack Abramoff more than two years ago, but President Bush removed the supervising federal prosecutor, and the probe ended soon after.

SF Chronicle, Jan 27, 2006:

The investigation into Jack Abramoff, the disgraced Republican lobbyist, took a provocative new turn Thursday when the Justice Department said the chief prosecutor in the inquiry would step down next week because he had been nominated to a federal judgeship by President Bush.

How can Bush remove Abramoff’s prosecutor twice and get away with it?

I’m utterly speechless. Do I need to explain this… ? I mean, why isn’t this a major scandal that every politician and news network isn’t breaking. This is 24/7 headline news… but the corporate media buries it, while calling bloggers ‘irresponsible’.

What could be worse… how bout this? Bush says he doesn’t really know Abramoff, but in May 2001, Abramoff charged his clients, the Coushatta Tribe, $25,000 to have lunch with Bush, The Texas Observer even has a copy of the check. This arrangement would make Abramoff the pimp, and Bush the whore. To me it is unbelievable that the President of the US would do this, to make his buddy rich. Why wouldn’t he just have lunch with the tribe because he’s the President and he cares!

Iraq: View from the ground, Things are NOT getting better

Filed under: Iraq, US Govt, Impeach — ben @ 11:02 pm

Quotes from this WaPo article illustrate that contrary to what Bush says, Iraq is not getting better.

In the first month after the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division took over security duties in northern Iraq in late fall, roadside bombs killed or wounded more than a quarter of the 34-man platoon…

“It’s definitely more dangerous this time around,” agreed Spec. David Jones, 24, of New York, on his second tour in Iraq with the platoon. “I didn’t expect to lose so many friends so soon.”..

Heavy-handed sweeps through Baiji by U.S. forces in 2003 and 2004 left many people angry, frightened and humiliated, residents say.

“Most of the people fighting the Americans tell me they do nothing for us but destroy the houses and capture people,” Adil Faez Jeel, a director at the Baiji refinery, said of the U.S. forces. “There are no jobs, no water, no electricity.”..

“When Saddam was in power, we used to go to Mosul, to Tikrit, to Baghdad. . . . It was safer all over,” said Salah Aub Ramadan Obaydi, 65, a retired teacher.. Now “people get shot every day and no one cares.”..

“We have almost no support from the local people. We talk to 1,000 people and one will come forward.”

Bush Admin Trying to Restrict Free Speech at J31 SOTU Protest

From the WaPo or (BellaCiao), turf renovation trumps right to Free Speech:

The organizers of the Tuesday protest, called “World Can’t Wait — Drive Out the Bush Regime,” say the National Park Service and the U.S. Capitol Police initially offered them the Capitol Reflecting Pool as a demonstration site but changed their minds. Demonstrators have been told to confine their gathering to the gravel walkways on the Mall between Third and Fourth streets, farther from the Capitol. The grassy areas are fenced off because they are being resodded.

Katrina Warnings Ignored!

Filed under: Katrina, US Govt, headline news, Impeach — ben @ 8:37 am

This is unbelievable!… from ABC NEWS:

Documents released today by Congress show that two days before Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, the White House received detailed damage forecasts from Homeland Security officials predicting that the city’s levees might be overtopped or breached.

Yet in the days after the storm struck on Aug. 29, federal officials, including President Bush, said the levee breaches could not have been foreseen.

Embattled former FEMA Director Michael Brown said, “I think we were all taken aback by the fact that the levees did break in so many places and caused such widespread devastation.”

Homeland Security Director Michael Chertoff said, “I will tell you that really that perfect storm of combination of catastrophes exceeded the foresight of the planners and maybe anybody’s foresight.”

And on Sept. 1, President Bush told “Good Morning America”: ‘’I don’t think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees” that flooded New Orleans.

The documents provided today by the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, however, showed that the federal agencies overseen by Brown and Chertoff had compiled damage forecasts for the White House at least 48 hours before the storm’s landfall that predicted levee overtopping and breaches.

AND OUR “ELECTED” OFFICIALS DID NOTHING!
It’s called Criminal Negligence.

On Aug. 27, two days before the storm made landfall, FEMA had prepared a slide presentation for White House officials. The FEMA slides said a Category 4 storm surge “could greatly overtop levees and protective systems.” It’s unclear who at the White House received this briefing or how its contents were distributed afterward.

Did they see the slideshow? Why did they do nothing?
Did they not even watch the presentation? Why not?

Either Way- They didn’t do anything to prepare for the storm, and they left thousands of Americans stranded with no food and water for a week after the storm…

Despite this Major Warning, Bush Stayed on F@%king Vacation!!!

In a sane country, the above information would be enough to throw Bush and Co out of the WhiteHouse immediately.

Now there is an investigation, and the WhiteHouse has ordered FEMA witnesses to refuse to answer “almost every question” about the Katrina (lack of) response… and this according to Republican Senator Joe Lieberman.

And check out the ‘coincidences’ that parallel 9/11:

  • Bush takes month long vacation in August
  • Bush Receives major warning (last time it was the Aug 6th Memo titled, “Bin Laden Determined to Attack Inside US”
  • Bush does nothing, enjoys vacation, thousands of Americans die.
  • Bush stonewalls investigation, because “national security” is at stake.

Congress always takes 3 day weekends, if not more… and Bush- for every major protest during the last few years he has left town, will this be any different?

    Bernie Sanders: Just Another Fraud

Have you heard Rep. Bernie Sanders talk- he’s great at calling out the oil companies, Bush cronies, etc…. he sounds great- but when it counts, he tucks tail just like the rest of them. Most of the “progressive” politicians in DC are nothing more than frauds.

Why am I so outraged? Because on Thom Hartmann’s Air America radio show, Bernie just said ~ ‘Kerry really won the election’.

This pissed me off, not because I disagree, but because he didn’t say this last year when it counted. I was watching the big January 6th election challenge last year, and I was angry when Conyers, the man “leading the election challenge”, gave his time to Bernie, who said:

I agree with John Kerry. I think George W. Bush won Ohio… What today is about is to demand that the Federal Government begin to move forward…

First off, why would Conyers give his time to someone that disagreed with the findings of his report? That makes no sense.

Regardless, let’s give Bernie the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he didn’t know about the fraud last year, but now he does… If that’s the case, then why isn’t he calling for Bush to be impeached for stealing the election? WTF? He stole it, but we’ll try again in 2008? What a crock.

Sanders is worse than Bush, because he’s one of the phony Democrats selling out America with their fake opposition to the Bush regime. Bernie now claiming that Kerry really won is just more posturing by this Poser.

The new “Patriot” Act: Prison time for ‘disruptors’

Filed under: US Govt, headline news, Democrats, Impeach — ben @ 9:57 pm

“Freedom” in Bush’s America: Prison time for “disrupting major events including political conventions and the Olympics.”

From Section 602 of the new “Patriot” Act:

SEC. 602. INTERFERENCE WITH NATIONAL SPECIAL SECURITY EVENTS.

[disruptors] willfully and knowingly to enter or remain in any posted, cordoned off, or otherwise restricted area of a building… with intent to impede or disrupt…

To “impede or disrupt” a political convention is now a crime… Like during our 2004 State Democratic Convention, when the Kerry delegates went to count themselves in a seperate room, and I called them on it, calling for a recount because the rules were specific, delegates were to remain in same room. The Chair (DLC Ho) and a few minders shushed me and said, “the room is booked” so we have to leave now- after hours of boring speeches, we had 15 minutes to debate Kerry vs Kucinich, then we had to leave because a dinner banquet had the same room booked???

If this new “Patriot” Act passes, trying to engage the tv believing delegates in a real conversation could be called “impeding” the convention - I’m sure the DLC Chair and many others would agree that could I was a “troublemaker”… speaking out next time could get me a year in prison, ten if I’m holding a “weapon” such as a microphone.

Violation of this section, and attempts or conspiracies to commit such violations, shall be punishable by– 10 years, if– weapon or firearm; or injury
    else, one year

So even “conspiracies” to “disrupt” are punishable with prison time. Does that mean if several people “on the list” go to a convention, that they’re conspiring and could end up in prison? Of course it doesn’t mean the new law will be abused, but the loose language ought to cause major concern.

Sec 605 of the Patriot Act says the new Gestapo can

make arrests without warrant for any offense against the United States committed in their presence, or for any felony cognizable under the laws of the United States if they have reasonable grounds to believe that the person to be arrested has committed or is committing such felony

I heard on the radio that they pulled someone over for “looking suspicious”. Is that “reasonable grounds” for an arrest in Bush’s America? Complain about it and they tag on resisting arrest to your charges…

This law is laying the legal groundwork for silencing dissent, for arresting and imprisoning those that are a threat to the Criminals in our Gov’t. What we have is the fascists showing their cards and making a run for end zone.

It’s time for all activists to realize the urgency of the moment.

Waiting for another “election” is BUllSHit!

Why did Bush hire Death Squads Negroponte to Spy On US ?

Filed under: US Govt, headline news, Republicans, Impeach, Spying — ben @ 6:38 pm

It’s been exposed that Bush and Co have been spying on Peace Groups. Not spying to stop al-Qaeda, but spying to silence dissent. These are the tactics of a dictator. Constitutional scholars agree that Bush broke the law, clearly violating the Constitution.

“The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government.” ~Patrick Henry

Bush blatantly lied when he said they were only spying on al-Qaeda. In fact, they plugged into the nation’s main telecommunication arteries in a massive data-mining operation, scooping up everything and doing a pattern analysis, “searching for terrorists”.

Bush says it’s to protect us, but he also says his tax cuts for the rich were a good thing, that he didn’t really know Ken Lay, that the war in Iraq has made us safer, and lots of other lies.

How can anyone continue to believe this proven pathological liar?

So this is all bad enough… but to top it off,
Bush appointed Death Squads Negroponte as the Top Spymaster. He has access to all the NSA spying data, with limited Congressional Oversight.

Negroponte gained his nickname in the 80’s when he oversaw Honduran Death Squads for Pappy Bush (Reagan was a puppet like W).

According to The New York Times, Negroponte carried out “the covert strategy of the Reagan administration to crush the [opposition]”

In 2005 Dubya appointed him Ambassador to Iraq, where rumors of Death Squads surfaced soon after, and were confirmed in a Knight-Ridder article in Dec.

Now he’s the top spy in America, with every tool and technology available, he has the ability to, “impose total tyranny, and there would be no way to fight back.”

Why would a President hire someone nicknamed Death Squads Negroponte to spy on his own citizens?

    The biggest problem in America

Filed under: US Govt, headline news, PNAC, Impeach — ben @ 9:17 am

The biggest problem in America is the refusal of good-hearted Americans to see that Bush, Cheney, et al are not bumbling idiots, but truly evil bastards destroying our country. To realize that we must stop them before more die.

Wake Up America: The evildoers Lied to start a war, needlessly killing a hundred thousand, and they Exploited 9/11 to do it.

They Exploited 9/11. Think about that. What kind of person would say, “Before Sept 11th, many in the world believed that Saddam Hussein could be contained,” (mp3) even though Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11.

    We have already seen:

  • The Supreme Court rush in to an emergency Saturday morning session to STOP the vote count (Dec 2000).
  • Bush received a Memo titled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the US” Aug 6th, 2001. He stayed on vacation, then 9/11 happened. (Why wasn’t that enough for impeachment?)
  • Criminal Tax Cuts for the Rich, while
  • Poverty reaching record levels
  • Oil Co Profits at all-time highs
  • $1.48 Billion “over-charged” by Halliburton
  • Halliburton pumping oil “that isn’t even metered”
  • The deliberate FUBAR of Iraq, if they had withdrawn the military in 2003, we would have saved Billions of dollars, and thousands of lives… but “saving Billions of Taxpayer $$” means Billions less for Halliburton to “earn”.
  • $9 Billion “Lost” by Paul Bremer’s CPA, which used Cash Bricks ($100,000 of stacked $100’s) stuffed in gunny sacks to pay contractors.
  • Stop Loss orders
  • Depleted Uranium
  • Stolen Election 2004 - Bush’s Cousin Kerry took a dive
  • Katrina “excercise”: FEMA turned help away; Bush stayed on vacation, again!
  • Katrina survivors testified that they were not rescued, but detained in “concentration camps”
  • A new bankrupcy law that cracks down on individuals, while they ’settle’ corporate bankrupcies for pennies on the dollar. MCI WorldCom “over-stated” earnings by $13 Billion, stock price collapsed robbing millions of investors of $160 Billion… MCI ’settled’ for $.5 Billion penalty, then gov’t gave them a $.3 Billion contract for Iraq phone service.
  • That MCI case is typical… the gov’t lets the big boys rob billions, while they crack down on the little guy that went bankrupt because of absurd medical bills ($50,000 for a broken arm?!), which is something else this corrupt gov’t has refused to address- the broken/corrupt medical industry.

And now we have seen this corrupt gov’t revive Cointelpro tactics to spy on Americans. Bush says they’re spying on al-Qaeda to protect us, but the evidence indicates they’ve been spying on Quakers, Catholic Workers and other Peace Groups. Bush says it’s perfectly legal, but Constitutional scholars disagree.

Cheney says the NSA spying could have prevented 9/11- yet they began this illegal domestic spying before 9/11. Cheney had maps of Iraq at his secret “energy task force” meeting in March 2001. Does this not indicate that they were planning on invading Iraq, even before 9/11 happened… wtf!

Right now the evidence is clear that we have a criminal cabal running the US gov’t… and they are making it clear that they are going to continue launching wars, the only question is who’s next, Venezuela, Syria, Iran or Saudi Arabia?

And instead of a Peace Movement demanding Impeachment for these numerous crimes against humanity, America has a bunch of ‘activists’ that wish to make a career out of fighting the system.

While BushCo claims supreme powers of the executive branch a la Hitler, appointing another yes man to the Supreme Court… some ‘activists’ are content to wait for another phony election…. ?

While these good-hearted but naive activists continue to follow phony leaders, BushCo is getting ready to implement Ollie North’s plan for martial law in case of “widespread internal dissent or national opposition to a military invasion abroad”. The plan could be: “Terrorist” Attack, Attack Iran, Martial Law…

Yes, these corrupt bastards will do anything to stay in power, even kill thousands of American citizens as they did in New York and New Orleans… yet the Peace Movement is willing to wait…?

Now BushCo is asking for the RubberStamp Congress to pass the new “Patriot” Act which creates a new Federal Police Force, a new American Gestapo…. while according to former Senator Frank Church, the NSA Spying “could enable [a dictator] to impose total tyranny.” They’ve been spying on us, making “The List” for four years, now they want a federal Gestapo to silence critics.

In short, we have an unelected idiot pretending to be President, while Cheney and other PNAC evildoers plot more world conquest. They do not give a shit about America, they only care about themselves and their own greedy ambitions. Threats to National Security are really threats to Bush/Cheney’s hold on power, because if they go down, they will go to the ICC and to prison. And they will do anything to prevent that… including allowing another “terrorist” attack, which would give them the excuse for martial law, as Tommy Franks suggested.

Doesn’t anyone else see the urgency? We must STOP THEM before the next attack or “natural” disaster allows them to grab more power and kill more innocents.

To all Americans that desire peace in the world and a better life for your grandchildren:

STOP WAITING for the Politicians to do something.
STOP WAITING for MoveOn or TrueMajority or some phony activist “steam valve” to do something- they are frauds as proven by their silent complicity in the 2004 election theft.

It is time for you to Stop Business as Usual.

“It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment” - MLK Jr.

New Patriot Act creates the “Secret Service, Uniformed Division”

Filed under: US Govt, headline news, Republicans, Impeach — ben @ 6:35 pm

America has never had a federal police force, but hidden in the new “Patriot” Act is language that creates just such a beast.

SEC. 605. THE UNIFORMED DIVISION, UNITED STATES SECRET SERVICE.

There is hereby created and established a permanent police force, to be known as the `United States Secret Service Uniformed Division’.

The Secret Service, Uniformed Division will not operate solely in DC, but anywhere former Presidents travel, or foreign dignitaries, or even “as the President, on a case-by-case basis, may direct.” #8

A federal police force, directed by the President. Is this not the Gestapo all over again?

If the new “Patriot” Act passes, the new SSUD federal police can show up at:

    (11) An event designated.. as a special event of national significance.
    (12) Major Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates and, within 120 days of the general Presidential election…

A federal goon squad on hand to arrest any ‘disruptors’ during the next Presidential Election… how can you look in the mirror and tell yourself that there’s hope for 2008? Or is that just an excuse to continue doing nothing right now?

MK Ultra is for real. It’s not a conspiracy, it’s reported fact that the CIA did 150+ experiments on mind control.

There is much published evidence that the project involved not only the use of drugs to manipulate persons, but also the use of electronic signals to alter brain functioning.

Their excuse was, “the Russians are doing mind-control”, so we have to research it as well, to see what they might be capable of… but for the CIA

The experiments often took a sadistic turn. Gottlieb was known to torture victims by locking them in sensory deprivation chambers while dosed on LSD, or to make recordings of psychiatric patients’ therapy sessions, and then play a tape loop of the patient’s most self-degrading statement over and over through headphones after the patient had been restrained in a straitjacket and dosed with LSD.

Forces within the US gov’t were doing this in the 60’s… now with the advances in technology, what are they capable of today?

In Miami Nov 2003, federal goons shot young Americans in the back. They chanted and beat their shields and shamelessly attacked thousands of people marching for “People Over Profits”. It appeared to many that these cops were literally brainwashed, incapable of individual thought, just a pack of wolves, actually relishing the violence. It was scary.

    Bush Claiming Dictatorial Powers

Filed under: US Govt, headline news, Republicans, Democrats, Impeach — ben @ 11:15 am

Reagan Appointee Paul Craig Roberts on the money again:

President Bush has used “signing statements” hundreds of times to vitiate the meaning of statutes passed by Congress. In effect, Bush is vetoing the bills he signs into law by asserting unilateral authority as commander-in-chief to bypass or set aside the laws he signs. For example, Bush has asserted that he has the power to ignore the McCain amendment against torture, to ignore the law that requires a warrant to spy on Americans, to ignore the prohibition against indefinite detention without charges or trial, and to ignore the Geneva Conventions to which the US is signatory.

In effect, Bush is asserting the powers that accrued to Hitler in 1933. His Federalist Society apologists and Department of Justice appointees claim that President Bush has the same power to interpret the Constitution as the Supreme Court. An Alito Court is likely to agree with this false claim.

This is the great issue that is before the country.

Bush is declaring himself above the law, and Congress is rolling over. Gore’s call for a special counsel, to make that an issue in the Nov election, is ridiculous. Lawsuits against the Bush spying are a waste of time, the Supreme Court appointed Bush in 2000, they will simply rule that Bush does indeed have whatever power he desires.

Bush broke the law like a dictator, spying on Peace Groups this is a blatant power grab… and we’re supposed to accept it.

Gore’s Constitutional Crisis Speech: More Propaganda

Filed under: US Govt, Democrats, Spying — ben @ 12:29 pm

from Gore’s big speech on the Constitutional Crisis:

The President and I agree on one thing. The threat from terrorism is all too real. There is simply no question that we continue to face new challenges in the wake of the attack on September 11th and that we must be ever-vigilant in protecting our citizens from harm.

Terror terror everywhere. Orwell, 1984- the gov’t terrorized it’s own citizens into accepting the police state. Face it people, Gore is just another establishment ho. Even though he’s bashing Bush now, after the next terror attack, you can expect Gore to back Bush all the way.

A special counsel should immediately be appointed by the Attorney General to remedy the obvious conflict of interest that prevents him from investigating what many believe are serious violations of law by the President.

But according to scholars, we already know Bush broke the law, and continues to do so. Gore’s call for an investigation is just more stalling BUllSHit. We don’t need an investigation, we need articles of impeachment.

Gore did the same thing for the 2004 election, came out and blasted the Patriot Act, then told Democrats to back Kerry who was actually for expanding the Patriot Act. It’s like a con-artist’s sleight of hand- boldly say one thing, then point followers the wrong way.

If Gore was for real, he’d mention the new Secret Service Uniformed Division BushCo is trying to establish in the new Patriot Act, coming up soon. Two Republicans warn that BushCo is willing to introduce martial law to stay in power- Gore didn’t mention that.

If this were Clinton and sex, the Republicans would be screaming for impeachment, but instead it’s Bush spying on Americans like a tinpot dictator, lying about it like a high school dropout, starting a war killing thousands… and the best the Dems can manage it, let’s appt another phony investigator that will string this thing along til the next phony election. Isn’t the imbalance obvious? Why aren’t there any Dems with teeth? There are, they just never make it to DC.

Genetically Modified Superhumans now a possibility

A baby born in Germany lacked the gene that produced myostation, a muscle growth inhibitor, now athletes mad scientists and evil billionaires are drooling at the possibilities.

Somewhere in Germany is a baby Superman, born in Berlin with bulging arm and leg muscles. Not yet 5, he can hold seven-pound weights with arms extended, something many adults cannot do. He has muscles twice the size of other kids his age and half their body fat.

DNA testing showed why: The boy has a genetic mutation that boosts muscle growth.

Many scientists believe the find could eventually lead to drugs for treating people with muscular dystrophy and other muscle-destroying conditions. And athletes would almost surely want to get their hands on such a drug and use it like steroids to bulk up.

And evil billionaires would almost surely want to use this to create a new breed of supercop…

Dick Cheney in his bunker, “these guys are ok, but it’d sure be cool if they were genetically modified to be 7′ tall, do-whatever-we-say, goons… muahaahaahaahaa!” (bites pinky finger)

It sounds like I’m joking, but I’m afraid not…. this is what myostatin-blocked GM Beef look like

Imagine the new ‘Secret Service Uniformed Division’ staffed with cops built like that.

And whaddya know- they have found the stupid gene as well:

Scientists in North Carolina say they have identified a gene that affects IQ.. The new research could also have ethical implications because the effect of the gene appears to be quite dramatic: The scientists say that males who inherit a particular version of the gene have, on average, an IQ that is 20 points lower than males who don’t.

Guardian UK: ‘We can implant entirely false memories’

Alan Alda had nothing against hard-boiled eggs until last spring. Then the actor, better known as Hawkeye from M*A*S*H, paid a visit to the University of California, Irvine. In his new guise as host of a science series on American TV, he was exploring the subject of memory. The researchers showed him round, and afterwards took him for a picnic in the park. By the time he came to leave, he had developed a dislike of hard-boiled eggs based on a memory of having made himself sick on them as a child - something that never happened.

Someone should study how effective Fox News is at using this technique to trick viewers into believing entirely false versions of recent history.
