For the Record: $300 Billion for war since 2003
Congress has funded almost $300 Billion for war in the last three years, passing two bills each in 2003 and 2005, none in 2004 (election year).
$79 B April 16,2003
$87 B Nov 6, 2003
$82 B May 10, 2005
$50 B Oct 7, 2005
$298 Billion Total
I just had to add this up because I keep seeing stories that refer to ‘nearly $200 Billion spent ‘ when it’s actually $300 Billion- and that’s not even counting the $400+ billion defense dept annual budget, or the $2.3 TRillion LOST by the Pentagon (first reported Sept 10, 2001). Looting America- that’s what they’re doing.
And now Murtha claims they’re going to ask for another $100 Billion early next year- since it’s an election year they’ll want to get that out of the way ASAP.
Fudging the numbers… something the defense dept did during vietnam, with money AND with casualties…. could they be fudging those numbers again? Perhaps bringing them all home would expose that lie, that’s why the new buzzword is “redeployment”.
Screw redeployment, we want them home, in recovery with full medical care. We need to demand from all 435 Congressmembers, bring ALL the troops home or else you will be replaced next November.
