Insurgency or Resistance? Terrorists or Iraqis?

Bush’s Plan for Total Victory is based on his claim that our Troops are fighting terrorists. What if he’s wrong and they’re just regular Iraqis. Bush/Cheney say, “We’re fighting them there so we don’t have to fight them here”…. but what if they’re wrong- what if we’re not fighting terrorists but just regular Iraqi citizens resisting the occupying forces, what if Howard Zinn is correct, “We are not trying to create democracy in Iraq. We are not trying to bring liberty to Iraq. We are trying to bludgeon them into submission.”
Just last week, the Guardian UK reported:
Leaders of Iraq’s sharply divided Shiites, Kurds and Sunnis called Monday for a timetable for the withdrawal of U.S.-led forces in the country and said Iraq’s opposition had a “legitimate right'’ of resistance.
On top of that, a ceasefire was offered in exchange for a troop pullout.
Bush says we’re helping the Iraqi people gain a foothold for democracy, but when they ask us to leave- he doesn’t want to hear about it.
Could this be why? Multinational Oil Companies on course to steal hundreds of billions worth of oil.
How much more obvious can it be for all those pro-war Americans? If they knew these buried facts- nobody would support the continuation of this war.
