Bush was rude to a reporter then tries to escape, but he can’t open the door.
This is so damn funny- the pictures are priceless.

Murtha’s Resolution was not voted on!

Filed under: misc, US Govt, headline news — ben @ 11:26 am

One thing needs to be clear- the House did not vote on Murtha’s start-now-finish-in-6-months Resolution. The House voted on Republican Duncan Hunter’s sham resolution, introduced for the sole purpose of creating confusion. After submitting the bill, Hunter declared that he would vote against it. Check out these statements from House Dems:

Rep. Hinchey:

The resolution put forth by House Republicans today is completely consistent with the counterfeit information the Bush Administration used to validate the war in the first place. Republicans are fabricating facts surrounding a resolution just as they fabricated facts to justify the war.

Cynthia McKinney:

The Republicans should be roundly criticized for this reprehensible act. They have perpetrated a fraud on the House of Representatives just as they have defrauded the American people.

Dennis Kucinich
:

If his real intention were to bring our troops home right now, why would he vote against his own resolution? Wake up America.

The American people are fed up with politicians who say one thing and do another. Every one of conscience and intelligence knows the magnitude of withdrawing 150,000 troops requires a plan, and a sincere legislative effort.

The American people deserve a real debate on Iraq: Where are the WMDs? Where is Osama Bin Laden? What did Iraq have to do with 9/11?

This Congress, which is a coequal branch of government, which has the War Power and which has oversight responsibility, has the moral obligation to find out why almost everything of significance we were told about the war turned out to be false.

So, after a two week vacation, the House returns Dec 6th, at this time they could be forced to vote on the real Murtha Resolution…. if they voted to begin the withdrawal, and a dozen planes loaded with troops left the first day in a symbolic gesture, the attacks on US troops could end immediately.

Call your CongressCritter and ask them to support the real Murtha Resolution when they return.

Tear down their, “Iraq is improving, we’re liberating them” myth. FACTS to back you up.
