Neocon Journalist excited by recreation of 1918 Killer Flu virus

Filed under: misc, headline news, PNAC — ben @ 9:46 am

Charles Krauthammer is a [PNAC] neocon journalist for the WaPo:

It was announced last week that U.S. scientists have just created a living, killing copy of the 1918 “Spanish” flu.

This is big. Very big.

First, it is a scientific achievement of staggering proportions. The Spanish flu has not been seen on this blue planet for 85 years. Its re-creation is a story of enterprise, ingenuity, serendipity, hard work and sheer brilliance.

Doesn’t he sound excited? Scary.

Beyond the brilliance lies the sheer terror. We have brought back to life an agent of near-biblical destruction…

Not only has the virus been physically re-created, but its entire genome has also now been published for the whole world, good people and very bad, to see….

Why [would terrorists] try to steal loose nukes in Russia? A nuke can only destroy a city. The flu virus, properly evolved, is potentially a destroyer of civilizations.

We might have just given it to our enemies.

“Have a nice day.”

This is the only time he used italics…

“when the re-created virus was given to mice in heavily quarantined laboratories in Atlanta, it killed the mice more quickly than any other flu virus ever tested”

kinda creepy the way he ended it too
    “Have a nice day.”

Mr Krauthammer’s excitement does not surprise me in the least. He is probably rubbing his hands with glee at the thought of this getting into the hands of the only truly terrorist state in this world (if they do not already have it) ISRAEL, to whom Mr. Krauthammer owes first allegance like all other zionist and non-zionist neocons world wide.

Mr. Krauthammer, without a doubt is one of the most insidious, sinister “human beings” I have had the misfortune to lay eyes on and worse still listen to in my entire life.

When this crowd of neocons in the WH is on trial for crimes against humanity including the American people, Krauthammer should be alongside them with his gang.

The reactions feel a bit like shooting the messenger, it feels. It’s not about Krauthammer’s text including the slightly cynical “Have a nice day” - but about what is on people’s mind.

It’s not so hard to understand what the scientists are interested in. What exactly was so dangerous about that flu, what are the differences from other types? No doubt it feels scaring.

    Have a nice day.

  5. AWTD Says:

The 1918 flu (it’s only called the Spanish flu because Spain didn’t have the wartime propaganda machine going at the time but we did) had several accomplices to kill the way it did.

A coal shortage kept people cold. Food rationing left people vitamin deficient. A medical system cannibalized by the war promoted other illnesses that made the populace susceptible to the 1918 flu.

The worst agent provocateur of them of them all was the subhuman conditions of trench warfare. Soldiers frequently came down with just about every illness known to man again and again. This bred superbugs and ended the war.

Don’t worry, there’ll be viral outbreaks on CNN sometime next year, but I doubt it’ll be H5N1. Hurricanes that set millibar records combined with extremely unusual heat waves has always been good news for germs. The 1981 AIDS death rate is just one example.

  6. Derek Gilbert Says:

I’m no fan of Krauthammer (he’s also a recent invitee to meeting of the elite Bilderberg Group), but did you actually read his article? He sounded scared, not excited.

Rightly so. There is some evidence to suggest that the Spanish flu–which began at Fort Riley, Kansas–was a bioweapon. It was deadlier to healthy young adults than it was to children or the elderly.

That said, keep an eye on the BioShield II bill in the Senate. It looks like a huge wealth transfer program to Big Pharma.

  7. Greg Says:

I hate to come to his defense, but I read the article and he appears to be concerned about the wisdom of such a choice.

He does not appear to be in favor of it or the consequences.

Had I not read the article myself I would have an even lesser opinion of the man. I am am to have a negative opinion, I’d rather it were based upon the truth.

    Greg

  8. Anonymous Says:

of course he ‘appears’ concerned, the language suggests he is morbidly excited

  10. AWTD Says:

Derek Gilbert brings up some interesting points. While the Kaiser’s agents were caught injecting anthrax and glanders into livestock in America, the 1918 flu spared no then-modern nation. If you’re going to wage biological warfare, you need a guarantee of much more of their casualties than yours.

I’m Canadian and there are conspiracy theories that aren’t on the web that the Halifax explosion of 1917 was Canada trying to worm its way out of a deadly WW1. Could the 1918 flu be a last-ditch German attempt at forcing a stalemate? Post number one’s quotes tell how lethal this plague is. Even the labs of 1917 would have to get this result.

Could the 1918 flu be part of a population control exercise? The war debts would be huge, leaving several states with lots of poorer people rife for communist revolution.

From early August 1918 onward, poor urban people dropped like flies. Their bodies were dumped like garbage into mass graves in local cemetaries. They were the most vulnerable to colds and flu at the time.

The problem with this contained genocide theory is that you can’t guarantee that this evil is going to stop in 1918. Remember, the original Seattle is buried underground as a result of a bubonic plague-like outbreak. If that happens enough, the resulting economic crash would make the Depression look like the 60’s.

Krauthammer is a zionist version of Dr. Mengele.

  12. Bluey Morgan Says:

Just like a Kraut, no brains, only a big mouth!
You fool Krauthammer, don’t you know it was the US military who invented the Spanish Flu in the first place, no wonder they can do with it what they like. The original does not have to dug up at all…that’s just for the media!!
The original has been on ice at Fort Detrick and also two other locations on the planet for years.
The files of this are easily available to anyone with a thinking brain and were first shown to me by Dr Len Horowitz, ten years ago!!

  14. AWTD Says:

The most likely major viral outbreak in the United States will probably come from the HIV-positive community. Because they’re walking germ laboratories, it’s only a matter of time until they contract a contagion that threatens us all.

A couple years back, there was a variation of the flesh-eating virus that killed some 100 IV narcotic users in the United Kingdom. The epicenter was in Scotland. Try as I might, I can’t find anything on this phenomena on the web. That in itself is very telling.

  15. Meritha Says:

I detect sarcasm, particularly in the “serendipity” and “sheer brilliance” remarks; anger in the next 3 paragraphs; and, in the last sentence, a defeated bitterness at the sheer stupidity of the human race.

How anyone could read excitement in this, I can only decide, is because you have an agenda of your own and you speak without thinking or even wanting to think.

Bluey Morgan: You sound like you have a lot of hate and misplaced anger. Sounds like you need to research history a lot more and stop believing every negative thing you read about our country on the internet. Thinking brain? Make better use of it.
