I want to start with a scary thought: Can you imagine what would have happened if George W. Bush had been President during the Cuban missile Crisis.
You people who are out here protesting, you are the shock troops battling to preserve our cherished freedoms. You know our freedoms are not under attack from the remnants of Saddam Hussein’s Bathist Party. They’re under attack by the likes of John Ashcroft. They’re trampled by Donald Rumsfeld, they’re disdained by Dick Cheney, and they’re not even understood by George W. Bush.
The battle to preserve our freedoms is not taking place in Baghdad and Tikrit and Falluja. It’s taking place in peace marches and demonstrations in Ghiradeli Park in San Francisco, in Memorial Park in Oklahoma City, and in Lafayette Park in Washington, DC.
The front lines are right here. You are preserving our cherished freedoms by exercising them in spite of ridicule and opposition. The battle to preserve our freedoms is you.
You are the foot soldiers protecting our civil rights.
You are the Minutemen sounding the alarm against tyranny.
You are upholding the spirit of the American Revolution.
You are preserving the freedoms that the troops in the desert have a right to come back to.
The troops getting shot at in Iraq are not protecting us, we are protecting them and their honor and their freedom. We my sisters and brothers are protecting this nation by speaking truth to power.
We’re speaking truth to a pack of liars.
We must do it loudly and fearlessly and courageously and joyfully, for we are the Patriots. And when we speak, this is the truth that we proclaim:
This war in Iraq has nothing to do with National Security or freedom or democracy or human rights or protecting our allies or weapons of mass destruction or defeating terrorism or disarming Iraq. It has to do with money, it has to do with oil, and it has to do with raw imperial power. And it’s based totally on lies.
Those that forced this war on an unwilling world are guilty of violating the US Constitution, the UN Charter, the Nuremburg Principles and International Law. What they have done is illegal, immoral, unconstitutional and treason!
Before this war started, we knew it would fracture NATO, split the United Nations, seperate us from our allies destroy the great nation we inherited from our fathers who died in World War II, and it has.
We knew it would make our beloved country feared and hated and outcast among the world community, a pariah among the peoples and the number one rogue nation on Earth, and it has.
This is nothing but treason.
We knew this sadistic corporate war would incense the Arab world, provide thousands of new Osama bin Ladens and enormously increase the terrorist threat, and it has.
We knew it would further endanger the American people and the British people and destroy our National Security, and it has.
This cabal of neoconservatives from PNAC who planned this war, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, Libby, Perle, Jeb Bush - even before Dubya became President - they told us why they had to do it, they said we need to occupy Iraq permanently in order to dominate Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, and the southern Russian Republics around the Caspian Sea. We need to control the entire Middle East and all it’s oil.
This is nothing but treason.

Thank God someone with the guts and respect of rank is speaking out about Bush…Not even Vice-President Gore while he was the Speaker of the House, had the guts to allow any of the numerous Congressmen and women to ask for just one Senator to back them up in order to look into the voting fraud that got Bush elected…Gore kept telling these Congressmen and women to sit down and shut up…If Gore is too scared to let even one person in Congress speak up for him, can you imagine the fear the rest of the government must have that wants Bush out of office but can’t openingly say because of what might happen to them…Senator Wellstone was a good example of just that…need I say more.

This bunch of murderous thieves that some call the Bush Administration have a lot to lose if they are ever prematurely unseated from power. I fear for the lives of of those they would sacrifice on both sides of any conflict to maintain that power. Any effective method of bringing these wretches to justice must be well organized and executed. We are dealing with criminal masterminds who are, if nothing else, brilliant PR people who can spin dung into doilies. I thank god every day that I am blessed to I live in Canada. No way can pinning all this just on NeoCons explain it all any more than can pinning 9/11 on Osama. Our current state of affairs is clearly enabled by fake opposition in a phony 2-party system. Col. Bowman needs to find a military college to teach him Enemy Recognition 101.
By promoting theories and strategies which make incomplete sense, Col. Bowman sometimes acts like some kind of limited-hangout type, which he justifies under the rubric of “treason is treason”, but failing to recognize the scope and nature of any problem will practically guarantee failure to solve it.

Well if you are going to call them traitors, and yes I agree 100% with you. Make sure you don’t fly in any airplanes and you have lots of life insurance. Consternation is the root reason for denials of the facts in the face of so much physical evidence available thru you and the mechanism of the inter-net. The phenomenon of the boiling frog perfecty illustrates this: put a frog in tepid water, slooooowly bring to a boil, and the change being so gradual will not be perceived by this animal thus slowly but surely letting himself be frog souped. But, put the frog in already boiling water and it will forthwith jump the f**k out! these hungry men have been sloooooooooooowly boiling away our spririts, ourn minds, and our wills to discern these things. Col Bowman, as many other Americans, observers around the world smelled a rat with this admin from the beginning.
Even prior to bush’s election it was an open secret that the Neocon’s, the Perle, Wolfowitz, et al, had done extensive writing, planning on how they could ramp up a war in the Middle East-and secure permanent presence there-knocking off countries like playing a game of Risk. So why do WH cheerleaders keep stating that 9-11 was a big surprise and going into Iraq was, suddenly, a ‘new plan’–new?
Iraq was ALWAYS targeted as the staging area for further expansion/occupation into the ME-and of course, Israel, America’s colony, has been right there twisting more than arms to get U.S. troops solidly in there to do the fighting and dying-must be great to have that kind of incredible pull with the remaining superpower.
There is nothing spontaneous about the policies of the Neocons, they have had their plans in the hopper for a long time-and now, very unfortunately, they have managed to install a buffoon who will load their guns, enjoy the perks of a faux presidency and play the little emperor as people keep dying in Iraq.

I saw retired Lt. Col. Karen Kwiatkowski being interview on C-Span this last weekend around 4/2/06. She spoke about a movie called “Why We Fight.” I would love to see it. Karen Kwiatkowski said “I think we fight becaues basically not enough people are standing up saying ‘I’m not doing this any more.’”

Dear All,
I hope this message finds you all well and in good spirit.
It is never my intention to assume, but in this case I must at least presume you are as concerned as me regarding what is happening in America and around the globe based on the fact that you are reading this article by an outraged patriot such as Col. Bowman that is calling a spade a spade and a traitor a traitor; he is exactly right that these Neo-Con criminals need to be removed from office. Therefore I humbly offer the following for what it may be worth, I hope it is helpful.
As an average concerned citizen who has been awakened to the lies and disinformation surrounding the attacks of 911 which facilitated the enactment of the Patriot Act I and II, stripping average Americans of their God given rights, while an imperialistic administration and government further used the attacks to illegally invade the two sovereign countries of Afghanistan and Iraq, killing, maiming and irradiating thousands in the process, many of which are our own sons and daughters; I had to find out why and what I could do to help stop this insanity.
I have watched as many good-intentioned Patriots have peacefully rung the bell of Liberty, over and over again, to encourage the leaders of this country to find their way back to our roots as “One Nation under God”; only to be ignored, subjugated and arrested. We asked for a legitimate investigation to find and prosecute the real perpetrators of the 911 attacks; we asked to stop these illegal wars that are based on false evidence, which have inflicted and generated horrible atrocities globally, so that we can bring home our young men and women from the depleted-uranium battlefields to protect our own borders, which are being invaded daily by illegal aliens. Yet these calls have gone unheeded, which leads me to recognize that there is no longer any remedy in the system, when the leaders won’t listen to We the People, but instead serve a New World Order global-elite agenda which prosecutes any opposition or resistance.

Col Robert Bowman has made some valid points, many of which I’m sure are true. However he hasn’t told us the most important point of all; The forces at work here are much bigger and much more powerful than us. Do you really think that we can change any of this? Take a look at the last four thousand years of history. These forces are becoming more powerful, not less! We like to think that we could change things but that fact is, they lead and we follow. The rabbit hole goes way too deep now. Sorry, just a reality check for you all.

A Republican congressman (Curt Weldon, PA 7th) has publicly praised an anti-Bush video. And not just any anti-Bush video, but the one by BYU Professor Steven E. Jones which accuses the Bush administration of deliberately allowing 9/11 to happen and placing explosives in the three tallest World Trade Center buildings to make sure that they would be totally destroyed on 9/11. I’m glad that even the US Military is now starting to wake up to the background to the invasion of Iraq. I rembere reading the PNAC website when it first went live and hardly believing my eyes. First we had Das Kapital, then Mien Kampf, and now we have PNA and its acolytes…
Obsessed by oil, cheered on by Republican Party funders to make a financial killing in Iraq (check out the fiscal free-for-all under Paul bremer…)and overscored by psuedo-patriotism, manipulation of the truth and downright LIES, the NeoCon Nazis set out their plan for the total abuse of American power at home and abroad.
WMD? Rumsfeld et al knew full well Saddam had none. In fact, the only people to use WMD have been the US Military and their resident ‘Foreign Legion’ - the Brits. Use of WMD constitues a War Crime as agreed by just about every Charter on Human behaviour since 1919. That, ipso facto, makes Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheyney and co War Criminals, plain and simple.
The insanity of the current Administration is truly astounding, as has been the ascent of a sickening Flag-Waving-I’m-A-Bigger-Patriot-than-You wave of Fourth Reichesque ‘patriotism’.
The Bush administration has done more to discredit politics, truth, political integrity and simple humanity than MaCarthy and Nixon ever could have done.
For a nation founded to escape religious intolerance and individual suppression, Bush and Co. stand as an ugly anomoly, with their endless assaults on Freedom in the name of Homeland ‘Security’.
They no longer merit any kind of respect or even tolerance. They are liars, vote-riggers, election stealing War Criminals.
A final word. If DU dust is ’safe’/'non-hazardous’ perhaps sopmeone should condsider asking our ‘leaders’ to walk through an area known to be covered in it (Iraq for example, or the billets of US Personnel….)- my guess is they’d loose control of their bowels if faced with such a test.
WE are in a mess, and the men and women of the PNAC faction are collectively to blame. Arrest them. Try them. jail them.
Or put them to work cleaning up the DU disaster they have unleashed.
